Use - The Saucony Endorphin 2 is designed to last and deliver optimal performance in long-distance races. With the lightweight construction of the shoe, runners can go the distance with minimal effort.
Spike Type - With 4 pyramid spikes located in the forefoot of the platform, the Endorphin 2 is composed to supplement aggressive traction and grip. With such a feature, runners can surely focus on their competition without any worry about slippage.
Spike Plate - Featuring a refined Pebax® plate, the Endorphin 2 is built to have a more supportive spike plate. This is intended to deliver better propulsion and rigidity.
Updates to Saucony Endorphin 2
- Promising to deliver lightness, comfort, and speed, the Saucony Endorphin 2 features an updated midsole cushioning. In this second iteration to the Endorphin series, a thicker layer of foam is supplied to the midsole. This enhances the in-shoe comfort and support of the runner.
- An updated spike plate is also integrated into the design. With the fine-tuning done to the plate, it is built to deliver improved propulsion by powering each stride of the runner as it digs in the tracks.
- To adhere to the lightweight composition of the shoe, it features a new woven upper. Although lightweight, it does not necessarily sacrifice durability and support.
Size and fit
The Saucony Endorphin 2 features a woven upper that hugs the contours of the foot to secure fit. For structural integrity, Flex Film overlays are bonded to the upper.
Designed using standard sizing measurement, the Endorphin 2 is a running shoe available for both male and female users.
Just like the outsole configuration of the Nike Zoom Matumbo 3, the Endorphin 2 features a Pebax® plate. This material is a stiff polymer plate that employs lightness, flexibility, and superior traction.
The spike plate features 4 spike receptacles that are meant to accommodate the removable pyramid spikes of the Endorphin 2. This is intended for optimum traction and grip, especially on rubber surfaces.
Known as Saucony’s premium midsole component, the SSL EVA supports the lightweight construction of the shoe as it utilizes minimal weight while providing comfort. It is also remarkable because of its high rebound properties and durability. With such quality, the propulsion of the runner is augmented.
One of the refinements made to the Saucony Endorphin 2 is the integration of a new woven upper. Just like its midsole component, this element of the shoe adheres to the overall lightweight design of the shoe. Not only does it secure fit and comfort, but it also gives breathability to the foot chamber.
Welded into the upper of the Endorphin 2 are the Flex Film overlays. These overlays are made of thin films that are meant to provide a snug and secure fit to the foot.
