Updates to Saucony Cohesion 8

  • The upper unit of the Cohesion 8 is made more comfortable because of the breathable mesh materials with some overlays on key areas that offer support. The overlays come with matte finish for a more stylish appearance. Reflective details are also added for visibility when running on low light areas.
  • The sole unit of this shoe is updated with a non-visible Grid System for heel stability and support, and it comes with extra foam in 2mm measurement underfoot for comfort. This is in addition to its IMEVA midsoles cushioning.
  • For its outer sole, Saucony updated the unit by using XT-600 carbon rubber, and this material adds durability and traction to the shoe. Although this technology is also present in the previous version, the sole of the Cohesion 8 is designed with more flexible grooves and less rubber material on the mid-foot area.

Saucony Cohesion 8 size and fit

The Saucony Cohesion 8 runs true to size in length and width. For standard foot measurements, this shoe comes with a variety of size availability from 5.5 to 12 for women, and sizes 7 to 13 for men. With a width that accommodates medium to wide fit, many runners will be able to enjoy this training shoe.

Outsole

The outsole of the Cohesion 8 is equipped with XT-600 carbon rubber materials. This is Saucony’s exclusive rubber material that has a very excellent abrasion and traction properties. This technology provides grip for different surfaces at an ultimate traction.

The outsole also comes with deep flex grooves, which Saucony placed throughout the forefoot area for added flexibility.

Midsole

The mid-sole unit is designed with the IMEVA, a full-length Injection Molded EVA foam, which makes the shoe efficient to absorb impact and pressure all throughout the training. This cushioning material provides a shallow depression on the heel area, thus improves the cushioning system as it helps reduce shock.

The Heel Grid System is also used as part of the midsole to deliver stability, especially for heel strikers. It is primarily used in this shoe to provide a stable cushioning and support to the heel.

Upper

The upper of the Cohesion 8 is designed using breathable mesh and synthetic materials that provide an increase in airflow, keeping the feet cool and comfortable. The upper is enhanced with lace up front, padded collar and tongue, and overlays for comfort and support. Reflective elements on the upper are also added to make the shoe visible even in low-light conditions.
