The snug fit allows you to mountain-goat on steep-sided valleys, but the cushioning gives you a bit of much needed padding after days on the hill.

Updates to Salomon Speedcross 3 CS

  • The upper of the Salomon Speedcross 3 CS was updated, giving runners more protective and comfortable features for an improved running experience. It features the brand’s ClimaShield, a waterproof membrane that keeps the foot drier while running on snow or wet conditions.
  • The shoe comes with an impressive traction through its Mud and Snow Contagrip outsole with 9 metal spike spins. The outsole is designed to dig in deep on soft or snowy grounds.

Salomon Speedcross 3 CS size and fit

The Salomon Speedcross 3 CS is a unisex shoe that is available in standard men’s size. Women should subtract 1.5 from the actual running shoe size. It is roomy in the forefoot with a snug midfoot feel for a more lockdown fit on the uneven terrain. Salomon is offering this shoe in a standard D width.

Outsole

The outsole of the Speedcross 3 CS utilizes the brand’s Mud and Snow Contagrip outsole with aggressive lug pattern that dig in deep on soft grounds. It comes with a 9 metal spike spins for excellent traction.

Midsole

The shoe uses the traditional injected and molded EVA that is extended in the entire midsole for enough underfoot cushioning. The brand’s LT muscle, a lightweight EVA midsole foam, helps absorbs shock during impact and gives a resilient cushioning for a more responsive ride.

Upper

Anti-debris mesh is used in the upper of the Salomon Speedcross 3 CS that delivers a breathable coverage. It keeps debris out while keeping the foot cool and dry. It works perfectly with the brand’s ClimaShield membrane that is quick drying in nature and has the capacity to repel water. It keeps foot drier and gives added protection to the foot.

The shoe features the brand’s quick lacing system that gives secure fit and facilitates the easy entry and exit of the foot. It comes with the lace pockets that tucked up the laces out of the way during the entire run.

The zip gaiter gives foot protection by keeping debris and water from entering the shoe while the ankle pads give protection to the lower leg against debris and ice.
