The Sensifit upper provides very secure, yet comfortably snug wrap over the midfoot, utilizing the usual Salomon Quicklace system. I am a fan of the Quicklace, but appreciate it even more so in the winter when my hands are cold and can operate it with glove liners or even heavier gloves.

If your winter running involves routes with compact snow and ice, zip up the Salomon Snowspike for a near-perfect experience. The spiked outsole has tenacious grip, and the waterproof upper keeps the feet dry and locked in.

- Featuring complete weather protection, the Salomon Snowspike CSWP is designed to deliver maximum performance in harsh winter conditions. This Salomon trail running shoe is equipped with a high-top gaiter and waterproof upper that effectively prevent moisture and snow from entering the shoe.

- To deliver maximum grip while running on wet surfaces, the shoe utilizes the Contagrip® TA outsole with an aggressive, multi-directional lug pattern. 12 tungsten spikes are also integrated into the outsole to provide a more confident grip on ice or snow.

- Providing a high energy return and good rebound is the EnergyCell™+ technology included in the midsole of the shoe. This technology aims to provide a combination of comfort and durability.

The Salomon Snowspike CSWP uses the Quicklace™ for a snug yet unrestrictive in-shoe wrap. Other technical components that influence the fit of the shoe include the gusseted tongue and OrthoLite® insole, which are used to provide added comfort and protection.

This waterproof running shoe features the standard sizing measurement to accommodate the usual expectations of consumers. However, it is always best to get a proper shoe fitting to ensure a comfortable fit.

Giving an optimal grip on soft, uneven, and rugged terrain is the Contagrip® TA technology, which is a highly durable outsole material. This component also protects the rest of the platform from abrasive elements. It has a multi-directional lug pattern that offers an aggressive grip even on soft surfaces.

Enhancing the shoe’s grip are the 12 tungsten spikes that are inserted into the outsole lugs. The spikes offer superior traction on ice and snow, enabling the user to confidently run even during the toughest weather condition.

The midsole of the shoe utilizes the EnergyCell™+ technology. This material is added to ensure a high rebound and excellent energy return. Other Salomon running shoes that feature this technology are the Salomon Speedcross 5 and Salomon Sense Ride 2.

Keeping the shoe agile is the ProFeel Film infused in the midsole to provide midfoot protection without compromising ground feel. It is a thin TPU film that helps filter out sharp surfaces and rocks for a more comfortable ride.

This trail running shoe utilizes OrthoLite® insole technology for added cushioning and underfoot protection. This anti-bacterial insole is designed to reduce moisture and odor, keeping the foot fresh for an extended period.

The stitch-free upper construction gives a smooth and glove-like fit. The shoe features the ClimaSalomon™ waterproof upper technology that delivers complete weather protection without sacrificing flexibility. The SensiFit™ overlays on the upper wrap the foot from the midsole to the lacing system to provide a secure and customized fit.

The lateral zip gaiter wraps the top of the shoe around the ankle. It helps prevent moisture, rocks, sand, and snow from entering the shoe.

The gusseted tongue keeps the debris out while the protective toecap absorbs stress and protects the shoe from injury.

Quicklace™ system is used in the shoe. This lacing system is made from highly durable Kevlar fibers that allow for easy on and off. Keeping the shoelaces tucked up is the lace pocket included in the shoe.
