  • The S-Lab Wings SG is a neutral Salomon trail shoe that’s created to deliver great performance for runners who want to streak through the trails with ease and efficiency. Soft ground and debris won’t become hindrances because this model has been optimized to handle such topography and hazards. Excellent traction and a cushioned underfoot experience abound.
  • The upper unit of this running shoe has been constructed to assist in shielding the foot from debris and any other harmful objects that are found all around the environment. The medial and lateral sides have a wrapping mechanism that hugs the foot snugly, but securely. The inner sleeve is very comfortable on the skin; it prevents skin irritation that can lead to blisters or welts.
  • The mid-sole unit features high quality compounds and components to make sure that the underfoot experience is as comfortable and secure as possible, especially since the runner is going to tackle the unpredictable terrain. The platform itself is able to protect the foot from impact, while also ensuring that responsible cushioning is achieved.
  • The outsole unit gives the runner sure protection against wear and abrasion. It has been specifically designed and tuned to deliver sure performance when it comes to soft ground, as well as surfaces that require climbing or descending. Traction is very important for this shoe, so it gives the runner an adequate amount of that.

The Salomon S-Lab Wings SG has a standard running shoe length. It has a unisex design, so men and women would be able to get the right size for them without worrying about the dimensions. The available width is medium, allowing those with medium sized feet to acclimate well to it. Its curved shape follows the curvature of the human foot.

Similar to the well known Salomon Sense Ride 2, this shoe uses the Mud and Snow Contagrip®.  It is an outsole technology that makes sure the runner is able to hold onto the surfaces well. An aggressive lug pattern is seen on this external layer. Their purpose is to grip the soft surfaces well, giving surface control to the runner. The rubber material is also very durable and able to shield the shoe from abrasion or injury.

The Molded EVA is a layer of protection that offers lightweight cushioning, as well as stability to the entirety of the foot. It makes sure that the platform remains robust and away from easy breakage. The Injected EVA is a full-length foam that makes sure the foot is able to get a high quality cushioning throughout the gait cycle. It’s made from a sturdy, yet responsive material, so it doesn’t make the platform very stiff. The ProFeel Film is a TPU film that’s placed under the mid-foot. It gives protection and structure to the platform while also allowing the runner to feel the ground beneath.

Closed Mesh is an upper fabric that has a closed construction. It’s meant to protect the interior of the Salomon S-Lab Wings SG from being invaded by debris and dust. It still allows air to enter the shoe, though, making a well-ventilated environment for the foot. One the medial and lateral sides lie the Sensifit, a wrapping mechanic that’s meant to hug the foot responsibly. It makes the overall coverage feel secure. The Endofit is a sock-like interior construction that’s meant to bring extra comfort to the skin. The runner can wear the Salomon S-Lab Wings SG even without socks because of this technology. Durable Kevlar fibers make up the Quicklace system, an easy-pull shoelace tool that allows the runner to slip in and out of the shoe and adjust the fit more quickly. A Die Cut EVA Sock Liner offers additional underfoot cushioning. It’s a helpful layer that adds more comfort when running on the trails.
