  • The Ryka Impulse is a walking shoe made for women. It is designed using lightweight and plush materials to keep the wearer comfortable during long periods of wear.
  • The mesh upper provides the foot with a breathable cover. Synthetic overlays are utilized to give the top section structure and a stylish flair.
  • It is equipped with an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam with dual-density characteristics. The soft layer helps attenuate shock while the firmer layer ensures the durability of the underside. Hard-wearing areas of the outsole are lined with rubber to increase longevity.

Made only for women, this walking shoe from Ryka comes in US sizes 6 to 11, with half and full sizes in between. As for the width, it accommodates different foot shapes as it is offered in both B - Medium and D - Wide profiles. The plush interior contributes to the snug fit while the lacing system allows users to adjust it according to their preferences.

The Ryka Impulse has the central part of its midsole is exposed, acting as part of the outsole. It is capable of withstanding harsh surfaces during daily walks.

Textured rubber is found at the heel and the perimeter of the forefoot. This compound is designed to add traction and durability to the underside.

Inside the Ryka Impulse is the Memory Foam insert. This element provides a comfortable footbed that molds to the shape of the underfoot to deliver maximum coverage and support.

The full-length midsole is made of a dual-density EVA foam. The softer layer lies underneath the Memory Foam, enhancing the shock attenuation of the insole. As for the denser layer, it is the exposed part of the midsole.

There’s a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) wedge in the heel. This hard plastic material prevents the rear section from compressing too much when it strikes the ground or while the wearer is standing for extended periods. It also helps in keeping the rearfoot steady.

The Ryka Impulse sports a low-cut silhouette. This style affords users with full ankle mobility.

The main body of the upper is crafted from mesh. This fabric allows air to pass and heat to dissipate, cooling the foot chamber in the process. A soft material covers the inside of the shoe which prevents chafing.

Synthetic overlays are abundant in this model. They protect the toe box against bumps while adding support at the quarters and around the heel.

A traditional lace-up closure is seen at the midfoot. This structure allows users to customize the fit. Strings integrate with the second and third eyelets which become taut and increase lateral support when the laces are tightened.

The trainer employs a padded tongue and collar. These components help to keep the foot locked in place and avoid skin irritation.
