  • The Ryka Aries is a walking shoe made for women. This model is made of lightweight materials that keep the wearer comfortable and on the move for long periods.
  • The upper utilizes a mesh material that keeps the inside aerated. Synthetic overlays are strategically placed throughout the facade to add style, structure, and protection where it is needed.
  • The ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam midsole absorbs shock to keep the foot protected against impact. It also serves as the outsole, but rubber pods are placed on the forefoot and heel sections for added durability.

Like all other Ryka walking shoes, the Aries is made to accommodate the foot shape and dynamics of women’s feet. It is available in US sizes 5.5 to 11, including half and full sizes. As for the width, it accommodates most types of foot shapes as it comes in B - Medium and D - Wide profiles. The padded tongue and collar ensure that the fit is snug while the lace-up closure affords users the ability to adjust the tightness of the midfoot.

The foam midsole of the Ryka Aries also serves as its outsole. It is constructed to endure walking on abrasive surfaces. It features a brick-like tread pattern that not only promotes flexibility but also enhances surface grip.

High-wear areas like the toe and the heel are lined with rubber. This compound amplifies durability and traction without adding too much weight to the shoe.

The full-length EVA midsole provides shock attenuation to the Ryka Aries. This cushioning unit is lightweight and flexible, designed to support natural foot movements.

Inside the trainer is a padded memory foam insole. It follows the shape of the foot, delivering full underfoot coverage for long periods of comfort. The base of the insert is made of latex which prevents it from moving out of place while in use.

The Ryka Aries sports a low-cut construction. This style allows for unhindered ankle mobility.

Keeping the foot securely in place is the synthetic textile upper. This material is breathable to keep the foot chamber well ventilated. The interior is covered with a smooth mesh fabric that prevents seams from irritating the foot.

Synthetic overlays reinforce the structural integrity of the upper. It merges with the lacing system so when the laces are tightened, the quarters are drawn closer to the foot, thereby increasing the lateral support. The overlays also form a protective element at the toe box to guard the front against bumps. At the back, it serves as an external heel clip that keeps the rearfoot steady during the walking gait cycle.
