Updates to Reebok ZigKick Sierra

  • The Reebok ZigKick Sierra is a running shoe that aims to provide comfort, style and balanced performance to the wearer. The technologies used in this are durable and efficient. These systems work together and complement each other, thus enabling the runner to feel secure and enabled when taking on the asphalt.
  • The upper unit of this running shoe features a mesh material that has a cloth-like disposition. It delivers breathable performance, which allow the inner chamber to breathe and stay cool. A thin external overlay system helps the upper fabrics in wrapping around the foot and keeping it locked in place.
  • The ZigKick mid-sole is used in the Reebok ZigKick Sierra. The front section of the foam is designed to have a look that’s consistent with traditional foam units. But a decoupled section in the heel features a zigzag-like shape that’s actually meant to protect the foot from impact shock during the landing phase. A TPU propulsion plate encourages the foot to move forward with speed and efficacy during each step.
  • The parts of the foam unit that’s exposed to the ground are covered by durable rubber. This material is highly resistant to abrasion. It doesn’t peel off or wear off easily, as well. The traction-capability is reliable, so taking each step doesn’t have the risk of slipping.

Reebok ZigKick Sierra size and fit

The Reebok ZigKick Sierra uses regular measurements when it comes to length. Its sizing schemes are regular, so runners are able to choose the correct size to fit their needs. The available width for men and women is medium. It accommodates those with medium sized feet. Its semi-curved shape follows the natural curve of the human foot.

Outsole

The Reebok ZigKick Sierra features CRTek, which is made of high quality, abrasion-resistant rubber. It shields the foam unit from wear and tear. It is capable of staving off damage, as well, thus enabling it to last long.

Flex grooves in the external sole unit make it easier to move their feet through the gait cycle. Smooth and flexible steps are afforded to the foot because of this design.

Midsole

The ZigKick platform is a full-length unit that acts as both the mid-sole and outsole. The front of the unit looks like any traditional underfoot cushioning system, but a zigzag shape is actually featured in the rear section. It reliably cushions the foot and adds more depth to the platform’s shock absorption mechanics.

The heel section is decoupled, which means it handles the impact forces independently from the rest of the mid-sole. The shock received from landing the foot on the ground would not reverberate across the entire length of the foam because the decoupled section isolates it and absorbs it.

A TPU propulsion plate assists the foot by allowing it to lift off the ground with efficacy and energy.

Upper

Breathable mesh is used in the upper unit of the Reebok ZigKick Sierra. It enables air to easily enter the shoe in order to keep the foot cool and dry. It is soft, smooth and it follows the natural movements of the foot as it goes through the gait cycle.

Thin overlays are placed on top of the mesh material. They’re actually connected to the lacing system, so whenever the shoelaces are tightened or loosened, they follow suit, thus providing a secure coverage that’s customizable.
