Profile of the Reebok Zig Slash

Designed to provide your feet with energy, the Zig Slash features Reebok’s innovative ZigTech sole that absorbs impact during initial contact and then releases a wave of energy along the shoe’s length; keeping your every step energized as you run up and down the court.

Cushion. Utilizing Reebok’s revolutionary ZigTech to propel you better, the Zig Slash’s midsole/outsole transfers energy from heel strikes and then shoots the energy wave forward through the sole. The technology is specifically designed to maximize energy return, reducing heel stresses that usually strain crucial leg muscles.

Traction. On the heel and forefoot, the Reebok Zig Slash’s sole has rubberized traction to prevent slipping. This traction system features a herringbone pattern that provides a dependable grip on any surface.

Length and Width. The Reebok Zig Slash fits true to size but reportedly runs a little narrow at the forefoot. Buyers may consider going up half a size if they don’t like a snug fit.

Lockdown. The Zig Slash has an internal bootie that lines the heel, ankle, and Achilles, delivering a comfortably snug fit. A leather toe box securely holds the forefoot while the ankle is wrapped with mesh that provides support without being restrictive. Once laced up, the soft tongue secures the midfoot to achieve a total lockdown.

The Reebok Zig Slash features a durable synthetic leather upper with laser cutouts, revealing a mesh underlay that increases breathability and reduces weight.

Stand out from the crowd with the Reebok Zig Slash. Immediately making an impact is the unique zig-zagging sole that provides a signature style to this mid-top basketball shoe.

Its simple hues flow naturally, making it pleasing to the eyes while its shiny leather upper has triangular cutouts on the quarter that adds flair to its otherwise tame appearance.

In the hopes of revitalizing their basketball division, Reebok signed John Wall to a 5-year, $25 million deal even before he was picked as number one overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Reebok had not seen any success with their basketball shoes since Allen Iverson’s prime but believes John Wall can turn things around as the brand’s new superstar as they refocus with their upcoming Zig basketball line.

The Reebok Zig Slash is the first basketball sneaker to use ZigTech and is John Wall’s first signature shoe.
