- Although it looks like a basic shoe, the Reebok Zig Evolution excels in delivering a smooth and steady ride, thanks to its various features. This lightweight running shoe is ideal for low-mileage running, gym workouts, and indoor training.
- The mesh upper is lightweight and stretchable for a fit that is simultaneously breathable and customized. The material flexes with the foot for an unrestricted movement.
- It has a Zig platform midsole for targeted responsiveness and cushioning, specifically in the areas where it is most needed. The CRTek high-abrasion rubber in the outsole equips the shoe with durability and traction.
The Reebok Zig Evolution has a standard running shoe length. However, it has a narrow construction, so wearers are recommended to go a half-size up to achieve a comfortable fit. The shoe is available in medium width for both the men’s and women’s versions.
Reebok uses the CRTek rubber as the outsole of the Zig Evolution. This material has a high resistance to abrasion, thus effectively protecting the high-wear areas of the sole unit. The CRTek rubber also provides adequate traction and promotes surface control.
The Zig platform midsole of the shoe comes in a zigzag pattern that is both unique and functional. With this layout, the impact from the strike is absorbed in the heel area and is distributed to the rest of the foot. The result is an energy-filled forward propulsion.
Aside from a responsive ride, the Zig platform also capably supplies underfoot cushioning without the additional weight.
The upper of the Zig Evolution uses a lightweight mesh that has a 4-way stretch capability. This quality allows the shoe to wrap around the foot, ensuring a contoured and customized fit.
The tongue of this running shoe is also made of sandwich mesh, aiding the upper in air circulation to keep the foot ventilated.
With the PowerFrame system, the midfoot area is catered with a supportive framework to secure the foot and prevent unnecessary movements while running. The shoe’s integrated lace system is attached to the PowerFrame to further the efficacy of foot lockdown.
The upper’s finishing touch is the low-cut ankle collar, which works by increasing mobility. The design also promotes quicker transitions and, in turn, a faster pace.
