Reebok Workout Plus IT History
The year 1984 marked a new Era for Reebok as the company was placed in the hands of its North American seller, Paul Fireman. After buying J.W. Foster's established company, Fireman urged Reebok to work with new designs to keep their sales fire burning. During the time, aerobics and exercise nuts frequent gyms to achieve their favorable body physique.
Reebok designer Edward Lussier and his team conceptualized an H-type vamp overlay that secured the foot and was included in the Reebok Workout to cope up with this increasing demand for training footwear.
The Reebok Workout came in mid tops and lows and was created for its initial function as a multi-purpose trainer. The sneaker was well received which created a need to improve its design. A few years after the introduction of the Workout, an iteration was released to the public adding a "Plus" after its name.
The Reebok Workout Plus features a lower profile compared to the core model and would turn out to be the design that would continue the legacy of the silhouette for years to come.
2017 concluded that an icon of the past should be infused into a classic footwear to spurt out a nostalgic feel among consumers. The time capsule of this design was manifested by merging the epochal analog electronics of VHS and cassette into a Reebok shoe, mainly the Workout Plus.
The H-shaped lace patch of the sneaker model was perfect in matching the reels of the vintage devices. Colorways of the Reebok Workout Plus IT or "Iconic Tape" resemble the old school tapes adding to the cornball image

The sneaker exhibits a low profile form which can be sported in numerous ways from everyday clothing to smart casual styles. Pants and shorts would be preferred while wearing the trainers as well as sweatpants.
Fit & Sizing

Men can avail the Iconic Tape model of the Reebok Workout in a full size of 4 to 13. Women are also eligible to sport the shoe in 1 1/2 or 2 sizes down depending on their foot conformity.
Commemorating the previous technology of video and audio cassettes of the past decades, the Reebok Workout Plus IT resembles the prominent features of the vintage electronics with its H-figured vamp patch. The tape overlay also features a tonal window box with Reebok branding inside. A suede heel counter contrasts the overall leather appearance of the shoe's upper.
