When Reebok first created its Workout shoe in 1984, it was not aimed for casual functions. It was, in fact, designed to perform as a fitness shoe for men just in time when the fitness-inclined brand started to explore the US shoe market.

Although initially intended to perform, the trends throughout the ‘80s helped drive the Workout shoe into its current place as one of Reebok’s front-runners in the lifestyle and classic sneaker category. It has become a favorite fashion staple regardless of different experimental upgrades done on its outsoles.

In 2017, Reebok takes its classic Workout model and upgrades it with a one-piece, seamless Ultraknit upper as it launched the Reebok Workout Clean Ultraknit shoe model. Aside from the said upgrade, the new silhouette features an EVA foam midsole, mixed-patterned rubber outsole, lightly padded tongue and collar, tonal laces, and minimal Reebok brandings on the upper tongue and side walls.

This modernized version of the Workout shoe model from Reebok boasts a clean and minimal overall façade with a monochromatic look from the seamless Ultraknit upper down to the sturdy rubber sole. The laces are flat and tonal with matching subtle hints of Reebok logos on the tongue and side walls. Whether you are aiming for a throwback look, or just a relaxed, casual style, the Reebok Workout Clean Ultraknit should probably be one of your best bets.

The Reebok Workout Clean Ultraknit features a lightweight, low-top construction with a one-piece and seamless Ultraknit upper. Its materials and construction permit flexible foot movement and a sock-like feel without sacrificing support. The fit is secured by an adjustable lace-up closure that comes with flat tonal laces. Worry less about a sliding tongue as this shoe features an extra loop tab on the tongue to hold it in place. In-shoe feel made comfortable by the lightly padded tongue, collar, and foot bed.

The sizes available for this shoe range from 5 to 11 in B Medium width for women and from 3.5 to 15 in D Medium width for men.

The Reebok Workout Clean Ultraknit belongs to the Workout silhouette bloodline that features modern technologies for improved performance, but still retains the classic DNA of its origin. It won’t take a second look to recognize how this particular iteration of the Workout shoe stands out as the one-piece seamless Ultraknit upper is difficult not to be noticed. Visually, it makes the Workout silhouette fresh and clean-looking. Function-wise, on the other hand, it allows breathable feel and lighter weight, which in turn collectively results in enhanced comfort.

  • The Reebok Workout Clean Ultraknit also comes in an OG version with close visual similarities to the original Workout shoe. It is named the Reebok Workout Clean OG Ultraknit.
  • The Workout Clean Ultraknit also features metal eyelets for enhanced durability. The EVA foam midsoles have visible stitching details for a similar reason.
  • The high abrasion rubber outsole bears a mix of patterns, including herringbone, for maximized traction.
