Updates to Reebok Trilux Run
- The upper has a tri-panel design which provides both lateral and medial support. The panels ensure that the middle part of the foot, as well as the heel, is minimally kept in place during runs. Aesthetically, the middle puff paint panel adds a unique texture to the upper and enhances the overall design of the shoe.
- The midsole is made of IMEVA which is short for injection molded Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. This kind of material provides the right amount of cushioning for comfort, and sufficient responsiveness for an energetic ride.
- Carbon rubber covers the heel area of the outsole to provide adequate traction on common surfaces. The material also ensures that the heel, which is a high-impact area, is protected from early signs of wear.
Reebok Trilux Run size and fit
It’s important to take note that the Reebok Trilux Run is only available in women’s sizes. Female runners who wish to get their pair can make use of their standard foot measurements for both the length and the width.
The heel area of the outsole is covered with a durable material called Carbon Rubber. It is the same material used to make tires for cars. Because of its toughness, it was placed on the heel – an area that receives most of the beating during runs. Doing this protects the heel from deteriorating quickly. It also enables the bottom of the shoe to deliver enough traction.
The tread pattern is composed of shapes with rounded corners that have been divided by several flex lines. The shapes allow the outsole to adapt to different surfaces, while the flex lines permit it to move together with the runner freely.
The midsole is made of EVA foam, otherwise known as Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which was injected into a mold. It is called Injection Molded EVA. A mixture of liquid EVA and other components were administered into a mold and let cool for some time. As soon as the IMEVA is solid, the mold is opened, and the foam pops out and undergoes compression or shrinking. This process produces a midsole which is light, soft, and adequately responsive.
The upper was designed with a tri-panel vamp which hugs the midfoot in place and minimally stabilizes the heel. It is made up of synthetic materials that are more structured than mesh, enhancing the upper’s support on the dorsal part of the runner’s foot.
Aesthetically, the middle panel has a puff paint design that has a unique 3D texture. This contributes to the overall modern style of the shoe by adding visual depth.
On the forefoot area, a stretchy gore panel was placed for better ventilation, feel and fit. This part of the upper is made up of mesh that easily allows air to pass through, keeping the foot dry and eliminating hot spots. Because the material has elastic characteristics, it follows the shape of a runner’s foot, providing a customized yet comfortable feel.
The lacing is standard and is connected to the tri-panel vamp. Tightening the flat shoelaces will also tighten the vamp, securing the fit of the shoe and preventing it from slipping accidentally when the runner is in motion.
