The original release of the Reebok Shaqnosis was during the 1995-1996 NBA season, and it was only in black-and-white colorway. This is the fifth signature shoe for the Big Man and is said to be his favorite from his entire signature line.

The upper is made of synthetic leather with perforations for ventilation. The midsole has the Hexalite technology, which provides a low-to-the-ground feel and impact protection. The outsole is made of sturdy rubber that features multiple traction patterns.

If wearers prefer a more modern basketball shoe, Klay Thompson’s fourth high-top signature shoe with Anta is a great substitute. It doesn’t have the classy leather upper but it has knit, which is now on-demand for comfort. If new buyers would dive for a more modern kind of basketball shoe, the 33rd Air Jordan sneakers is a great alternative to the rather vintage Shaqnosis.

Cushion. The responsiveness and court feel of the shoe comes from the Hexalite technology placed in the heel and forefoot. It is a sturdy and lightweight cushioning technology that features a honeycomb pattern, which helps it absorb impact. In the midfoot, there is an arch support that delivers a good heel-to-toe transition without any heel slippage.

Traction. The traction of the Reebok Shaqnosis is a combination of wavy herringbone, circular, and zigzag patterns. They work together to provide a good court performance and prevent slippage. The outsole has a thick and durable non-marking outsole. The three flex grooves provide flexibility to the shoe. The shoe has outriggers on the sides to keep it stable.

Length and Width.  The Reebok Shaqnosis fits true to size. However, a handful of reviewers say the shoe runs quite narrow and advise new buyers with wider feet to go half a size up.

Lockdown. The Reebok Shaqnosis has a traditional lace-up closure with seven pairs of eyelets. To obtain a snug fit, the high-quality round shoelaces and padded tongue can be adjusted. The thick foam surrounding the inner of the shoe deliver comfort and support while keeping the foot down. The high Achilles pad provides additional support to prevent ankle rolls.

The upper of the Reebok Shaqnosis is made of synthetic leather.  There are perforations in the forefoot which provides breathability to the shoe. The leather conforms to the shape  of the foot and provides cushioning. The toe cap provides durability to the upper.

The Reebok Shaqnosis is a high-top basketball shoe that comes in different colorways and upper materials. The Reebok logo is found on the outsole, insole, and both sides of the shoe. To mark the shoe as part of Shaq’s signature line, there are Dunkman logos on the forefoot, outsole, and heel counter. There is a sturdy leather pull tab on the heel counter for easier getting in and out of the shoe.
