Reebok Royal Nylon Gum History
Reebok originally debuted its Royal Heritage Collection in 1983 and are known for their simple and casual design. By flawlessly combining athleticism and casual style in the original Royal Nylon shoe, it had its successful run during its time.
The current Royal Nylon offers a new twist to the classic in the form of the Reebok Royal Nylon Gum. Evident in the shoe’s name, this model features an updated gum sole. Although crafted almost similarly as its predecessor, the Royal Nylon Gum offers a unique and new look to today’s audience.
Reebok Royal Nylon Gum Style
The Reebok Royal Nylon Gum has the same classic retro silhouette and monochromatic look as the line’s past models. The shoe has a classy, versatile, and sophisticated sporty look perfect for people who like mixing and matching their outfits. The shoe’s design was inspired by the road so expect the leather texture to add a subtle hint of rugged touch to your look, but nothing overwhelming. The gum sole feature could also be a stylish and unique accent to a rather bland look.
Fit & Sizing
The Reebok Royal Nylon Gum is available in sizes for both men and women. The gentlemen can choose from sizes 6.5 to 13 while the ladies can choose from sizes 5 to 12. Some reviewers observed the shoe to run a bit smaller than their usual size and recommended to try a half size bigger.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a more snug fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
The Reebok Royal Nylon Gum’s upper is crafted in low-cut style using leather and nylon materials for its upper. The mixture of leather and nylon exudes a rugged look, which took inspiration from the road. Reebok logos could be found on the tongue, back collar, and side underlays of the shoe. It features a blind eyelet lace-up for closure. The collar and tongue are padded while it features the Memory Tech foam for its sockliner. The midsole is made from die-cut EVA foam while the outsole is crafted from carbon rubber.
