Reebok Royal Glide Ripple Clip History

Reebok's background can be traced all the way from the 1890s when Joseph William Foster created the first Spiked running sneaker. It followed soon after the start of his company called "JW Foster and Sons" in 1985. That same year, Foster then developed another shoe made by hand exclusively for the best runners in the region. Although the company did not gain popularity at first, its products were acclaimed in the 1924 Olympics.

In 1958, the grandsons started the UK-originated brand called "Reebok," after an African Gazelle. About ten years after, American Paul Fireman acquired the company and launched it to the US. It boosted the sales of Reebok to over $1.5 million. It also was the first to release sneakers exclusive for women in the 1980s.

Over time, Reebok produced different types of sneakers that fulfill the demands of the market.  One of their releases is the Royal Collection. Included in this is the Reebok Royal Glide Ripple Clip, an old-school styled sneaker made of synthetic leather upper.
