Reebok Royal Glide History
The roots of the Reebok brand ran way back in 1890’s. Joseph William Foster created the Spiked Running shoe, and he was one of the first ones who designed these kinds of shoe. By 1895, he started the JW Foster and Sons. It wasn’t really a popular company, but they were able to get their shoes recognized in the 1924 Olympics.
In 1958, Joseph’s grandsons established Reebok, originating from the UK. The name “Reebok” was taken from the African Gazelle. By the late 1970s, Paul Fireman, was able to buy Reebok and introduced it to the American market. The brand’s sales reached over 1.5 million dollars and by the 1980s. Reebok released their first athletic sneaker that was exclusive to women.
As time went on, the brand went along with the hype of the mass and produced products that would meet the demands of the people. Casual shoes were also introduced as they entered the world of sneakers. They released some shoes that gained popularity and became a mass favorite.
They also offered a few collections for the people to have more options for the casual footwear. One of these collections they released is the Reebok Royal Collection. One of the shoes that is a part of this collection is the Reebok Royal Glide. The shoe featured a nylon and suede upper that offers support, comfort, and style. The shoe is available in different colorways, allowing the people to have more options in picking a pair.
