Reebok offers various footwear categories and walking shoes is one of them. The brand presents users with various forms that would allow them to enjoy walking in different types of environments.

The Reebok Ridgerider Trail 4 is a walking shoe intended for the urban jungle and light trails. It shares similar technologies with its predecessor, the Ridgerider Trail 3.0. The main difference between these iterations is the outsole. The Ridgerider Trail 4’s tread pattern is not as prominent as the earlier model, making it more appropriate for city walks.

The Reebok Ridgerider Trail 4 is styled like a hiking shoe. It features a rubber outsole for durable protection. The traction brought by this layer of rubber is enhanced by the large lugs on the forefoot and the small, brick-like pattern under the arch. At the back, a brake lug helps wearers traverse slippery and uneven terrains.

Protecting the foot against impact during footstrike is the EVA midsole. This foam technology is designed to be lightweight and responsive to deliver all-day walking comfort. The heel section of the Reebok Ridgerider Trail 4 is visibly thicker compared to the forefoot; it dulls the impact upon heelstrike while the flexibility at the forefoot remains uncompromised.

Holding the foot in place is the mesh upper. This material is manufactured to be durable to deliver maximum foothold and breathable to keep the interior ventilated. Leather overlays are used to reinforce high-wear areas of the upper such as the toe box. The overlays also strengthen the eyestay and the quarters and wrap around the back to keep the heel steady.

This Reebok walking trainer uses a traditional lace-up structure for fit adjustment. At the same time, the cushioned collar and tongue keep the fit snug.

This trainer is the full leather version of the Ridgerider Trail 4. Instead of having mesh as the primary material, the entire upper is constructed using leather, except for the exterior of the collar. It features ventilation pores at the vamp and the quarters to keep the foot chamber aerated. As for the midsole and outsole technologies, the Ridgerider 4 employs the same technologies as the Ridgerider Trail 4.
