7 reasons to buy

  • The sneaker is built with a standard true to size fit.
  • The surrounding feel coming from the sneaker's upper and underfoot cushioning is outstandingly comfortable.
  • It is superbly lightweight.
  • On close inspection, one can confirm that the sneaker is built with premium materials from top to bottom.
  • Almost all reviewers recommended this sneaker.
  • One user was impressed with the Reebok Pump Supreme's sole tooling.
  • Its slip-on construction provides a convenient on and off feature.

2 reasons not to buy

  • According to one disappointed wearer, the Pump apparatus was useless, and he has to wear thick socks to achieve a tighter fit.
  • It is not the best shoe for running even though it is marketed as one. One user intricately said that it made him run flat-footed and can also hear his feet slapping the ground while running in them.

Bottom line

Reebok gave their coveted Pump technology a new vessel for supreme comfort with the Reebok Pump Supreme. They kept it simple with the minimalist design and an exoskeleton Pump bladder which is supposed to tighten the fit around the heel and vamp.

Unfortunately for them, delivering a good snug was unsuccessful. A good snug would have been indispensable when doing physical activities like running and working out. In a nutshell, the sneaker can still be used for casual hanging out sessions due to its sleek appeal.

Good to know

In the last stretches of the 80s, Reebok changed the sneaker game with their coveted Pump technology. People would be skeptical at first given that it has a staggering expensive price range but things pushed through because somehow, the snugging apparatus worked and the teens loved to punch it.

From this technological blueprint hails a concurrent model that bears the Pump technology. The Reebok Pump Supreme borrows its design from the 1994 Instapump Fury model which is still made relevant up to this day. Reebok stripped the outrageous design of its predecessor and settled with a crisp and minimalist image with only an air bladder exoskeleton giving dimension to its upper.

The Reebok Pump Supreme was initially teased in 2016 under the collaboration with French clothing expert Vetements. The said model was to be featured in the Vetements Spring/Summer Collection of 2017. Essential elements of the Vetements x Reebok Pump Supreme are the Vetements branding at the vamp with matching "left" and "right" labels on each designated shoe. The all-white slip-on was released in Parisian fashion brand's in Seoul, Korea in October 2016.

Although simple in its low top form, the Reebok Pump Supreme has a lot to offer when it comes to technological flair. Aside from the visible Pump on its exterior, the sneaker showcases a Fusion Fit Sleeve that draws the upper closer to the foot which helps the pump feature deliver the best fit. These upper elements sit on top of a carbonated foam midsole which is supported by a Metasplit outsole for a light yet stable stride.

Subsequent Pump models ambitiously keep the model on the limelight like the ambitious Reebok Supreme Jacquard Tape which displays a full white upper with Jacquard detailing. Another version featured Ultrakit uppers instead of the Engineered mesh in the name of Reebok Pump Supreme ULTK or Ultraknit.

Clothing up the Reebok Pump Supreme is tricky at first without knowing the adequate style for it. But once having an idea of the proper way to emphasize the sneaker, numerous apparel combinations would arise.

First off, clothes that would hinder or cover the Pump feature is a big no-no because a simple silhouette like the Pump Supreme should at least show off the best element it possesses. Outfits that employ this type of style would be joggers or skinny jeans for men, and leggings for women.

Wearing baggy jackets is also suggested to portray a relaxing feel accompanied by loose tees that somehow coincide with windy weather. In general, partnering the sneaker with sporty clothes does the trick.

The low top sneaker relatively runs true to size but thanks to its Fusion Fit Sleeve and Pump tech, one can acquire a tailored fit that boasts supreme comfort. It is constructed in D medium widths but follows a unisex sizing that is available from 4 to 13. Women should go 1.5 sizes down as advised by the official website.

Many colorway variations of the Reebok Pump Supreme display different styles, and material revamps. The signature element of the core model is the engineered mesh upper which comes in basic colorways. Perforations are also scattered throughout the shoe's upper for maximizing breathability.

  • The midsole is composed of Injection Molded EVA which is a process for producing durable yet comfortable cushioning.
  • Carbon rubber outsole on critical positions delivers exceptional durability and traction.
  • A TPU plate on the mid shank provides stability on every stride.
