Reebok Furylite FG History

Reebok is a major player in the footwear industry known for its several classic shoe models that left a mark in the history of sneakers. One of these shoes is the Reebok InstaPump Fury, a revolutionary and futuristic shoe that made its debut in 1994. Designed by Steven Smith, the InstaPump Fury became highly popular because of the Pump technology it utilized instead of traditional laces. The Pump technology is an internal inflation mechanism that gives a unique, customized, and lockdown fit to the wearers.

In 2015, Reebok introduced a lighter and trimmed-down version of the InstaPump Fury called the Reebok Furylite. It was, in fact, the brand’s second attempt to a lighter InstaPump Fury following the 2010 InstaPump Fury Superlite shoe. The lighter and slimmer modern upgrade was made possible by taking away the Pump feature of the original shoe.

The Reebok Furylite highlights a synthetic upper, bungee type of lacing system, pull tabs for easy on and off wear, and 3D Ultralite outsole. It has been revamped several times since it released, and numerous colorways and iterations have been made available including the Reebok Furylite FG. The FG edition of the Furylite is a women exclusive release that retains the core model’s original features. However, its textile upper received a design update through floral prints all throughout.

It is available in several colorways including “Floral/ White/ Black Gum,” “Floral/ Black/ Scarlet/ White,” “Floral/ Flight Blue/ Rebel Berry,” and “Floral/ Flight Blue/ Rebel.”

Reebok Furylite FG Style

The Reebok Furylite FG is a low-top women’s sneaker that is based on a running shoe profile. It is sporty-looking like any other Furylite shoes, but its floral-printed upper gives a feminine contrast to its aesthetic. With several colorways to choose from, the Furylite FG is best worn with a solid-hued wardrobe to make it the outfit’s focal point.

Fit & Sizing

These women’s Reebok low-top sneakers are easily obtainable in sizes ranging from 5 to 11 in B Medium width. Half sizes are available as well. The collar and tongue are adequately padded and supported with loop pull tabs on both front and back sides for easy on and off. Further, with its low-cut design, expect that foot movement won’t be restricted and quicker foot transitions.

Notable Features

The Reebok Furylite FG, being one of the countless renditions of the Furylite sneakers, boasts similar characteristics as the others in terms of comfort, lightweight, and overall performance. However, because of one visual tweak, this FG edition became a whole new Reebok kick fit for the ladies. It still utilizes textile as its upper material, but is covered with floral prints all over giving a feminine yet sporty vibe to Furylite’s classic aesthetic.

Additional Info

  • The Reebok Furylite FG also features a 3D Ultralite EVA midsole for support and cushioned comfort.
