Reebok Freestyle Hi Nova History
In 1982, Reebok introduced its first-ever athletic footwear made exclusively for the ladies – the Reebok Freestyle. The timing was perfect. As the aerobics craze during the ‘80s become more and more popular, so is the Reebok Freestyle. It took only a year for Reebok to make a high-top version with double Velcro ankle straps of the Freestyle called the Reebok Freestyle Hi. The Freestyle shoes eventually reached huge sales and immense popularity that several more versions and updates have been released throughout the years.
In June 2018, Reebok brand ambassador and supermodel Gigi Hadid debuted a new silhouette that took inspiration from the Reebok Freestyle Hi model called the Reebok Freestyle Hi Nova. Although based on the Freestyle Hi high-top classic, this modern-day rendition boasts a mid-top design. The iconic straps are not adapted, and the last is updated with three collared puffs.
The Reebok Freestyle Hi Nova is a women’s exclusive shoe with colorways such as “Mid-White/ Ultra Purple,” “Enh-Rustic Wine/ Chalk,” and “Enh-Black/ Chalk.” The shoe originally retails for $85 a pair.
