The features that made the Reebok Club C famous were retained in the Reebok Club C 85 Pastels. Just like its predecessor, the Club C Pastels come in a low-top silhouette which allows more freedom in the ankles perfect for when on or off the tennis court. It also features an IMEVA midsole which is a cushioning system that helps ease foot fatigue because of its heightened cushioning responsiveness.

In 1985, the Reebok Club C splashed in a perfectly-timed manner when tennis sneakers are of its height. These sneakers couldn’t be more appropriate, having a name that is expanded to Champion. It made the sneaker omnipresent on exclusive tennis clubs and later on, the streets.

The Reebok Club C acquired similar elements from the Revenge Plus. However, it was refashioned into a more minimal and muted silhouette to follow the tennis rules. The premium leather and lush interior gained popularity not only for the tennis followers but it transcended across the streets as well. Ironically, these sneakers carry the UK flag alongside the Reebok branding despite being acquired by American Paul Fireman. Up until now, the current designs of the Club C’s carry this specific oddity.

After experiencing a slow start, Reebok finally reached its height and surpassed the giants Nike and Adidas, through its series of successful releases of sneakers. Much like most shoes, the Reebok Club C took a hiatus but returned boldly, coming in different colorways and variations. As this became a classic silhouette, it regained its popularity as it reached the off-cam style of hip-hop stars and Hollywood celebrities. Artists like Kendrick Lamar and Gigi Hadid were spotted wearing these sneakers.
