Reebok Club C 85 Lace History
During the 1980s, tennis was a big-shot sport. The supreme court play was not the only thing that audiences look forward to but also the kicks that each athlete bear. Though minimalist in concept, tennis sneakers took a shift from the court terrain into the streets when superstars start to wander off-court while still wearing their game shoes. The public gradually noticed its low profile style which superbly coincides with articles of clothing. Soon after, global brands started to produce tennis-inspired lifestyle footwear.
Reebok was one of the major sports apparel companies that gave in to the trend. They first released the Newport Classic, a tennis shoe that has a streamlined design in a white upper that complies with strict tennis dress codes. The NPC became a mold for more tennis-influenced Reebok sneakers to come.
The Reebok Club Champion succeeded the NPC with flying colors. It was initially dubbed as the Revenge Plus, but after years of revamping the model gave birth to the Club C. Due to its sleek form, it became subject to multiple variations that would continue to the present time.
The Reebok Club C yet again was remodeled in 2017 into a female-oriented form named the Reebok Club C 85 Lace. The Lace type features pastel accents of color that are inserted with a plush interior for supreme comfort. Utilizing Nubuck for its upper, the tonal appeal of the shoe even aligns with different seasons.

Sporting the sneaker with pants that are folded up at the ankles. Skirts do justice as well with the prominent colorways namely the Smoky Orchid and the Seaside Gray.
Fit & Sizing
An ice rubber outsole hugs the outline of the foot with a sandwiched EVA midsole that provides primary cushioning. The low top upper's interior and underlays are composed of textile which grants additional coziness. A lace lockdown secures the fit of the shoe which also manipulates snugness. Three lines of perforations are found at the toe box for breathability.
The most striking feature of the Reebok Club C 85 Lace is its hints of Lace Color Wash. The tonal color, although found in the same color spectrum, differs from the laces to the upper and the icy cupsole. Two colors are produced in this package which is Seaside Gray and Smoky Orchid.
- The icy rubber outsole is somewhat transparent which adds flair to the already stylish accent of the sneaker.
