Reebok Classic Nylon HS History
The Reebok Classic Nylon silhouette was initially released in 1983 as a running shoe. It quickly became a staple of sneaker culture in the UK before slowly attracting followers in the U.S. It’s upper was made from a combination of suede and nylon for enhanced ventilation, and it had a sculpted EVA midsole and foam sockliner.
In May of 2015, the Reebok Classic Nylon was reissued, this time in the U.S. market. The new drop featured a white nylon upper with an off-white overlay made of suede. Reebok released the model yet again, four months later in September, but this time as a product of a collaboration with Maison Kitsune, a Parisian label. It had a crisp white color and was dubbed as the “Arctic Fox.”
In 2016, two premium editions of the shoe model debuted, one in white and another in black. These iterations featured a pigskin nubuck and textile upper with mesh throughout the toecaps and side panels. The Hundreds x Classic Nylon was also released in the same year. This collaboration with the popular Los Angeles boutique produced the incredible-looking ‘Zodiac’ which had a navy colored-base with touches of off-white at the sides.
The Classic Nylon HS is another iteration of this classic shoe. Reebok updated this timeless silhouette with fresh colors and details for ultimate style and comfort. This version featured an upper made of 100% genuine leather and camo mesh underlays for an outdoorsy appeal.
