Reebok Classic Leather Diamond History

In 1983, Reebok decided to utilize textile leather on a running shoe and called it the Reebok Classic Leather after the success of the Reebok Freestyle. The Classic Leather was created with the fashion-savvy men and women in mind. It gained popularity because of its minimal aesthetic and sleek silhouette.  The shoe is widely regarded as the brand's first true success story.

The Reebok Classic Leather naturally made its way to the streets and became a lifestyle sneaker staple. People like its classic good looks then and now, which made it the brand’s most iconic model out of its entire lineup.

In its more than three decades of existence, the shoe became like a blank canvas for different artists, designer, stores, and personalities to put their own twist on. Sneaker fans dub some of these collaborations as “collector’s items” due to the shoes’ superior quality and limited release. Some of the more popular collaborations are with the brand Palace Skateboards and artist Kendrick Lamar.

One of the pair’s reinterpretations is the Reebok Classic Leather Diamond. The brand chose supermodel Gigi Hadid to endorse the shoe, which gained popularity amongst fashion-savvy sneaker fans.

The Reebok Classic Leather Diamond is available only in women’s sizes. The ladies can choose from sizes 5 to 11.5. Although the shoe generally runs true to size, a couple of wearers disclosed that it could run a bit bigger than usual sizing.

The Reebok Classic Leather Diamond enjoys the classic silhouette and familiar comfort as its predecessor’s. It features padded foam sockliner for in-step cushioning while the shoe’s collar and tongue provide added comfort.

The silver colorway features and all over sparkle design while the white and black colorways only have sparkles on its heel tab.
