Following every Instapump Fury OG, this collaboration product still offers the same customized fitting and comfort through its Pump technology and Boost responsive cushioning. The shoe's revolutionary air pump technology ensures a fully customized snug fit, while the upgraded boost cushioning provides extreme breathable comfort to the wearer's feet.

This newest OG, however, is only available for men, but women can get a pair from other Instapump collections such as Instapump Fury Overboard and Instapump Fury Boost.

The shoe's design expresses the culture and spirit of New York City in a brightly-colored Instapump Fury. It features a predominantly jet black breathable mesh but contrasted by vibrant yellow overlays, blue and yellow midsoles, and icy translucent outsoles.

The overlapping logos of Awake NY and Reebok to the back heels added accent and more drama to the design. Awake NY's take on the classic and contemporary style of Reebok InstaPump Fury educe both the timelessness and changing aesthetic vibrancy of New York.

The shoe goes well with any black and white outfit to highlight further its colors and unmissable construction. 

The major notable feature of InstaPump Fury is its Pump iconic technology full-foot chamber system that offers a customized, locked-in fit. It also has ballistic nylon upper with patent leather details for a fresh take on the sporty style.

The soft Hexalite hexagonal pattern offers extraordinary comfort and reliable air cushioning. Its EVA midsole is lightweight, and the rubber outsole provides better traction and durability. And lastly, it has a slip-on construction with heel and tongue pulls.

Angelo Baque established Awake NY in 2016 after a decade of working for Supreme, one of the well-known brands in the global apparel market today. To expand his clothing line, he collaborated with some of the famous shoe brands in the world, like ASICS and Reebok. In 2019, Awake NY and Reebok did their first major collaboration, which is Club C.

Their first shoe product became an instant hit due to its color combination and design. Following the fame of their first team-up, Awake NY did a version of Reebok's Instapump Fury OG, a contemporary design that matches the peg of Awake NY's brand.

According to Angelo, he thought of Raekwon's Glaciers of Ice when redesigning the silhouette. He imagined some Wu-Tang members wearing shoe military cargo pants tucked into their socks or a hockey jersey. Angelo also focused more on the idea of Japanese sneaker culture since [InstaPump] Fury is one of the most iconic sneakers in Japan. He then incorporated the two concepts and the 90's New York aesthetics to the Instapump silhouette. 

The Reebok's Instapump Fury was born in 1994 when Steven Smith, a veteran shoe designer who was also behind the iconic New Balance's 574, 996, 997, and 1500, made a design for the emerging Pump line.

The shoe's futuristic look captured the eyes of many people since its first release, and it continues to gain popularity 26 years after. The design drew a lot of mixed reactions from sneakerheads. Still, it became more popular in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, when Jackie Chan, a famous martial artist, wore the first yellow colorway. 

Many companies like BAPE, MILK Magazine, and Invincible created different collaborative colorways of Instapump Fury after its major success. Some collaborations even dedicated the colorways to popular animes like Ghost in the Shell and Gundam.

The InstaPump Fury is considered by many as the Airmax of Asia and probably Reebok's most iconic shoe of all time. The shoe's popularity reached Asia to Europe, and the design remains on display at the Design Museum in London.
