The Puma Uprise Mesh is offered in men’s sizes. It has a low-top structure that allows the ankles to have a freer range of motion. The sock-like mesh upper instantly offers a soft feeling around the foot, complimented underfoot with a padded insole. Though a tongue-less, slip-on sneaker, the Puma Uprise Mesh has a four-lace system with a synthetic lace stand for a more secure fit.

Those who would wear a pair of Puma Uprise Mesh will exude a modern vibe with the sneaker’s simple, stripped-down finish. The sleek sock-like silhouette can go along with quite a wide range of clothing, from the casual jeans-shirt combo to the sporty joggers-sweatshirt combo.

Puma made sure that the Uprise Mesh sneaker is featured in a variety of basic yet elegant and bold-looking colorways such as quarry white/white, black/white, black/black, and peacoat/white.

The Puma Uprise Mesh boasts a perforated, woven mesh upper that fits comfortably like a sock. It is made of a lightweight and breathable material, keeping the foot fresh for a longer time. The toe box is rounded, reinforced with an extended bumper. There’s a supportive heel strap with a Puma lettering. On the tongue area is the Puma logo flag.

Bringing into the world a huge catalog of classic silhouettes, PUMA goes down in history as one of the all-time most influential brands. Puma’s roots date back to 1924, in the little town of Herzogenaurach, Germany. The brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler founded the Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, or the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory. But after twenty-four years of working together, the brothers finally separated, due to conflict, in 1948.

Rudolf “Rudi” Dassler founded Puma that same year. He soon made a leap in shoe innovation with the release of the Puma Atom, a relatively high-top soccer cleat. It was the high-performance cleat with which West Germany’s first postwar goal was scored, catapulting Puma to stand among the elite brands worldwide.

Throughout the decades, Puma kept on innovating their designs, introducing a series of athletic shoes, such as the Super Atom, the Brasil, the King, and the Suede. These shoes were worn by legendary athletes who also made the shoes become legends themselves, as they became champions and broke world records wearing Puma.

But it was in the 1980s when Puma hit mainstream success, with their classic Suede, a tough track and field suede trainer. During this decade, subcultures—like leisure running, skating, breakdancing, and hip-hop—began to embrace Puma as not only a sportswear brand but also as a lifestyle brand.

Over seven decades since its founding, Puma has cemented itself as among the leading innovative footwear brands across the world. Puma has long since proven with its long history that they can seamlessly blend function and style together.

With their latest drop, the Puma Uprise Mesh, the brand strikes again. Crafted in a sock-like minimalistic silhouette in bold, clean colors, the Puma Uprise Mesh appeals to modern sensibilities.

  • The sneaker has an EVA midsole for better stability and cushioning.
  • It also features a SoftFoam sock liner, which adds lots of comfort.
