Updates to Puma Speed 1000 Ignite
- The Puma Speed 1000 Ignite is a road shoe that’s designed for the neutral runner. It has a sporty design that’s similar to many athletic shoes on the market. It features an engineered mesh upper for a cloth-like wrap. It also has the EVERFIT+, a system of overlays and textile lace-loops that ensure a secure fit.
- A dual-layer midsole offers shock attenuation and energy return. It also makes sure to keep the foot comfortable throughout the running session. A durable rubber compound acts as a shield against wear and tear.
Puma Speed 1000 Ignite size and fit
The Puma Speed 1000 Ignite was designed using the standard measurements, so it’s able to accommodate the natural sizing choices of consumers. When it comes to width, the options are B – Medium for women and D – Medium for men. It welcomes those who have medium foot-dimensions. The slightly curved last mimics the natural shape of the human foot.
The EVERTRACK+ is a proprietary compound that’s meant to provide traction over the surfaces. It’s made using Puma’s own version of blown rubber, touted to be 43% lighter and more durable than the regular variant.
The Propulsion Zone is a layer in the forefoot section that bends in conjunction with the platform as the foot readies for the toe off, then springs back into place when pressure is removed. Such a mechanism potentially pushes the foot forward with more energy.
SYNERGY is the midsole configuration of the Puma Speed 1000 Ignite. This full-length unit is comprised of two cushioning compounds that have been layered on top of each other:
The first one is EVA, an industry standard foam that serves as the base. Its purpose is to attenuate impact shock during the landing phase.
IGNITE is the second foam layer. This polyurethane piece returns energy to the foot and leg of the runner, thus encouraging a more energized toe-off.
The Molded Eco Ortholite Sock Liner offers contoured support to the underfoot. It has anti-moisture and antimicrobial properties to ward off odor and bacteria.
The façade of the Puma Speed 1000 Ignite features engineered mesh. It’s a cloth-like material that’s flexible and lightweight. It permits air into the foot-chamber through its ventilation pores.
EVERFIT+ is a lockdown technology that’s made up of printed overlays and midfoot bands that act as the lacing system’s eyelets. Combining these elements results in a customizable wrap.
An External Counter holds the heel in place, preventing it from wobbling during the run or exiting the shoe unintentionally.
The padded tongue and collar cushions the upper dimensions of the foot. They also assist the fit-adjustment systems when it comes to delivering a snug and secure fit.
