Bottom line

Puma RS-X3 Puzzle adds up to the growing line of retro shoes that calls the attention of the dad shoe-loving crowd. Though wrapped in layers of materials and padded around the collar, it isn’t as robust as other chunky-soled sneakers. It’s a bang for the buck as it delivers plush cushioning from initial use.

Puma RS-X3 Puzzle: Poor man’s Adidas Yeezy 700

Puma RS-X Cubed in Puzzle design gets a more amplified cosmetic than other eye-candy options under the Puma RS series. Inspired by the Rubik’s cube, it’s patched with striking colors. Like the other shoes from the same squad, this version is wrapped with a play of solid textures made of leather, suede, and mesh. It’s tagged by many as the cheaper version of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700, in a much slimmer form.

Puma RS-X3 Puzzle alongside other Puma RS kicks

The Puzzle variation and its RS siblings carry Puma’s trademark Running System cushioning under its curvy and blocky soles. Below are some of the attention-grabbing Puma RS sneakers as affordable as the RS-X3 Puzzle.

RS-X3. This running-inspired sneaker shares the same DNA as the RS-X3 Puzzle. Unlike the well-fitted Rubik-cube colored kick, the Puma RS-X3 has a tighter toe box.

RS-X Reinvention. This reinvented RS model has a higher collar line than the RS-X3 Puzzle. The leather detailing on the Puma RS-X Reinvention is more pronounced versus the cut-outs seen on the RS-X Cubed Puzzle.

RS-X Toys. It shares the same silhouette as the RS-X Reinvention but with more mesh covering. Compared to the RS-X3 Puzzle, the Puma RS-X Toys has a wider-looking vamp.
