Just like the other variations under the Puma RS-0 series, the Puma RS-0 Droid came in perfect sizing and offered at medium width. Its cushy insole provides tons of comfort. This shoe can be snagged in men’s sizes from 8 to 13 US. Women who loved its style may have this kick by slashing down 1.5 from their usual size.

The unmistakable color blocking of the Puma RS-0 Ai Droid gives this shoe a styling edge. Puma, one of the leaders in manufacturing lifestyle and sports shoes, brings out its retro Running System franchise with the drop of the RS-0 Ai Droid. Emerging from the modified Puma RS sneaker series, the low-top Puma RS-0 Ai Droid exudes a future-meet-retro feel. Another statement shoe from the lineup that bears some design similarities with the Ai Droid is the Puma RS-0 Ai Circuit Board.
The growing Puma RS sneaker cluster was influenced by the 1986 Puma RS-Computer, a running shoe with a wearable computer-generated tech in its heels. Such futuristic looking shoe had a computer device that allowed users to keep track of their running duration, monitor the distances covered, and calories burned.
Another sporting brand came up with a similar technology two years earlier called the Adidas Micropacer. The version from the Three Stripes had a sleeker appearance, but in terms of performance, it was also designed to record distance, running pace, and amount of calories burned. Unlike Puma’s RS Computer, the Micropacer didn’t have cables and ports that link the shoe to a computer. It instead had a microsensor placed on the left toe while data are displayed on a screen located on top of the tongue.
Fast forward to the more recent times, Puma relaunched the RS-Computer shoe in 2018 through a Special Edition release of about 86 pairs only globally. The modern and tweaked iteration got rid of the cables to give way to more advanced features such as Bluetooth that’s connected with Android and Apple smartphones.
Soon enough, the brand tossed in modified lifestyle sneakers inspired by the 80s shoe yet slashed down with the artificial intelligence feature. The RS sneaker catalog consists of playful styles that give today’s generation a hint of the retro world with modern touchups. Some of such designs are the RS-0 Ai Droid, RS-0 Ai Circuit Board, RS-0 Play, and Puma RS-0 Sonic Hedgehog.
