Puma Roma Ano History

The very first Roma shoe model was released in 1968 and was done to commemorate Italy's national football team who won in the UEFA European Football Championship. Created as a running shoe, it was made of padded nylon-suede that is said to help players accumulate medals on the field.

Eventually, the Puma Roma crossed over to the lifestyle scene and became a favorite casual shoe in the 80s. It has been released in multiple colorways and reinterpretations. Fast-forward to 2003, Puma decided to bring back the Roma range and reissued the classic Puma Roma 68 in the Italian soccer team Lazio's colorway.

Today, a more stylish version of the classic in the form of the Puma Roma Ano is available. It boasts of metallic uppers that add a modern style to its overall design.
