Updates to Puma Poseidon v2
- The Puma Poseidon v2 is a running shoe that’s meant for those who have neutral running gaits. It’s made with technologies that’re meant to make the running experience as comfortable as possible for the wearer. High quality components work together in order to provide a cohesive and enabled performance.
- The main material in the upper unit is a lightweight mesh. It’s breathable, flexible, and it wraps around the foot securely. Stitched overlays provide structural integrity to this section of the shoe. They also make the coverage more robust and secure by acting as a reinforcement to the main fabrics. The medial and lateral sides feature two fabric strips that connect directly to the lacing system. They actually adapt to the tightening or loosening of the shoelaces.
- The mid-sole unit of the Puma Poseidon v2 utilizes Molded EVA, which is a high-quality material that delivers responsible cushioning. It aptly carries the foot, protects it from impact shock and helps it achieve a springy toe-off. A molded EVA sock liner provides a comfortable underfoot experience while also adding a bit more cushioning.
- The outsole unit features two rubber technologies, which dole out a specific purpose for the performance of the runner. One of these compounds is highly resistant to abrasion, making it essential when it comes to shielding the platform from wear and tear. The other one—placed in the forefoot area—is also durable, but it has a responsive nature, which allows it to add a bit more cushioning.
Puma Poseidon v2 size and fit
The Puma Poseidon v2 has a standard running shoe length. The available width is medium. It accommodates the runners who have medium sized feet. Its semi-curved shape mimics the natural curve of the human foot.
The EverTrack is made up of a high-quality rubber material that’s highly resistant to abrasion. It’s placed in areas of the outsole where wear and tear are most common, and shields that area. It also provides traction.
The EverRide is another durable rubber compound, which is placed in the forefoot area of the Puma Poseidon v2. As it’s protecting the sole unit from abrasion, it also adds a bit more cushioning because it has a flexible and responsive disposition.
Molded EVA or Ethylene vinyl acetate is a full-length foam unit. It cushions the foot and protects it from the impact forces when striking the foot on the ground. It’s durable and long-lasting, making it efficient even after many uses.
A sock liner has been added right above the main mid-sole foam. It’s also made from molded EVA. It provides additional cushioning to the underfoot. It’s has a soft texture, which makes the underfoot experience more agreeable.
A breathable mesh material serves as the main upper fabric of the Puma Poseidon v2. It accommodates airflow into the foot-chamber, keeping the foot cool and dry at all times.
Stitched overlays provide more integrity to the shoe’s upper façade. They also make the coverage more snug and secure because of their strong yet easily adjustable nature.
Two strips of fabric are placed on the medial and lateral sides of the upper, and they connect directly to the shoe’s lacing system. When the shoelaces are adjusted, they follow suit, thus making the coverage more agreeable to the preference of the wearer.
