You can definitely tell a difference in the shape and general feel of the shoe — the outside of my foot was confused for the first mile or so (a little sore), but bounced back and felt normal afterwards.

It felt like I was putting on a sock with a cushion insert. It was as if it moulded to the shape and size of my foot. I found this a very attractive quality compared to all of my other trainers that now seemed like they were made for Big Foot.

I was worried the Puma Mobiums would also turn out to be just another pair of good looking walkers. But I was pleasantly surprised to find these are an actual honest-to-goodness pair of running shoe and, despite the cool colors, aren’t just a fashion statement.

  • 87 / 100 by Pocket-lint • Chris Hall • Level 1 expert

Better suited to neutral runners because of the minimal support for anyone whose foot rolls on impact, the Puma Mobium Elite v2 are light and comfortable and we really like the way the shoe moves with your foot when running.

  • 86 / 100 by fit-sized amanda • Amanda • Level 1 expert

Not only are the shoes really cute, they feel so unique compared to anything I have ever worn.

  • 83 / 100 by Lazy Girl Running • Laura Fountain • Level 1 expert

The Puma Mobium Elites have a nice roomy toe area with nothing hard to bash against your toenails; running downhill this was a big plus. But the midfoot and heel were still snug around my fairly narrow feet.

Updates to Puma Mobium Elite v2

  • The 2nd iteration of the Mobium Elite features the Mobium Band, which is placed on the outsole. It is designed to provide added flexibility, balance, and responsiveness whenever the foot needs it. It functions just like the foot’s tendons.
  • The presence of the EverTrack technology in the outsole gives the shoe a great amount of protection against the damaging nature of the road. This rubber compound also provides reliable traction.
  • The Puma Moium Elite v2 also features the innovative MoveCELL technology. It follows the natural movement of the foot as it flexes in all directions. It essentially provides agreeable bendability for a springy ride.

Puma Mobium Elite v2 size and fit

The Puma Mobium Elite v2 has a standard running shoe length. It is available in the standard medium width for both the men and women’s versions. The medium measurements give runners with regular foot shapes a nice, comfortable fit.

Outsole

The high-wear areas of the Mobium Elite v2 feature the EverTrack technology. It is a durable rubber compound that provides protection to the sole unit from wear and damage. It also gives reliable traction as runners tackle the road.

The shoe also utilizes the Mobium Band. It is an elastic band that has a figure-eight design. This band is specifically engineered to provide flexibility, balance, and responsiveness. It functions vigorously like the foot’s tendons; the more pressure is applied to it while running, the more the band stretches. When the pressure is released, the band springs back into place.

Midsole

The shoe uses the IMEVA midsole, which provides reliable underfoot cushioning. This midsole foam expands and contracts as the foot moves, essentially imitating the "windlass mechanism". It follows the natural shape of the underfoot and provides a bit of arch support.

In the forefoot area are the expansion pods. They provide flexibility and added cushioning as well as durable impact protection.

For a more flexible ride, the shoe utilizes the Puma MoveCELL technology. It is engineered to follow the natural movement of the foot. As the foot moves in different directions, the foam also flexes with it.

Upper

On the upper of the Puma Mobium Elite v2 is the mesh material that gives the foot a breathable coverage. It gives the runners a well-ventilated running experience.

The traditional lacing system features laces that don’t loosen easily. There is an extra eyelet that allows runners to secure the heel comfortably.

The padded heel and tongue give additional comfort while keeping the foot secure all throughout the run.
