Updates to the PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT
- The PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT is made for men looking for a lightweight and versatile workout shoe. It is styled to look as good as an everyday sneaker but offers the needed support to get users to the end of their workout sessions.
- The upper uses a knitted material that has ventilation pores at the forefoot. It features a dynamic lacing system thanks to the numerous raised slots at the quarters and the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) lace loop at the heel section.
- The sole unit utilizes the injection-molded ethylene-vinyl acetate (IMEVA) foam. This compound is durable as it also doubles as the outsole. It is engineered to attenuate shock to keep the feet and joints pain-free. As for the bottom, high-wear areas are lined with rubber pods to increase its lifespan.
PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT: Clings like claws
The exposed midsole of the PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT also serves as the outsole of the trainer. It is hard-wearing and flexible to promote movement.
Because this model is a workout shoe, high-friction areas, such as the forefoot and the heel, are reinforced with rubber pods. These pods protect the underlying material to make them last longer.
They also add traction to the underside of the footwear.
A spa-day treat for the feet
The IMEVA midsole of the PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT gives wearers a comfortable ride. The platform is soft and delivers shock attenuation, and at the same time allows the foot to bend naturally.
The heel is slightly elevated, which helps users squat deeper and feel more planted to the ground during weight training.
Mantra FUSEFIT: Delivering a wobble-free ride
The PUMA Mantra FUSEFIT employs a knitted upper material. This fabric is constructed to be supportive in the key areas to keep the foot securely in place.
It has vents at the forefoot section to keep the foot chamber aerated. The collar and the top of the midfoot use mesh for increased breathability.
The trainer features a dynamic lacing system. There are raised structures at the quarter, which are slots for the laces to pass through. There are many possible ways to thread the laces to achieve a customized and locked-down fit.
At the rearfoot, there’s a TPU lace loop that extends the fit customization to the heel, keeping it steady during dynamic movements.
The collar of this footwear is asymmetrical; it is higher at the medial side and dips low at the lateral side.
This design works in two ways: 1) the higher portion provides ankle support; 2) the lower portion allows the foot to slide in and out of the unit effortlessly.
Pull tabs are present on the back of the collar and on top of the tongue. The tab at the tongue extends down to the front and forms loops for the lacing system.
Both the tongue and the collar are lightly padded to provide comfort and snugness.
