Reliable traction. The Puma LQDCELL Tension employs a rubber outsole. This compound grips surfaces of gyms, as well as outdoors. The treads under the forefoot help with traction. Meanwhile, the hexagonal pattern under the heel aids in steadying the rearfoot during squats.

Movement. Flex grooves are present under the forefoot section of this workout shoe. It makes it easier for the foot to bend during burpees, mountain climbers, and planks. The rubber under the forefoot is divided by a lateral line, which helps stabilize the foot during side-to-side movements.

Cushioning. As the name suggests, the Puma LQDCELL Tension employs the company's proprietary LQDCELL technology. This midsole unit is crafted from interlocked hexagonal cells made of blown TPU. The honeycomb system is combined with other Puma foams to deliver targeted cushioning. The resulting component is excellent in shock absorption and is responsive to impact. Because of its unique construction, the unit does not easily compress when pressure is applied, allowing it to remain stable during various movements.

Coverage. Mesh is used for the top material of the Puma LQDCELL Tension. This fabric is soft and breathable, keeping the foot fresh during workouts. Soft fabric lines the inside of the footwear. It prevents abrasions and aid in moisture management.

TPU mesh is used to reinforce the vamp and the midfoot section. They prevent the fabric from premature tearing without impeding ventilation.

Lockdown. A traditional lace-up closure with punched eyelets is present in the instep area. It allows wearers to customize the tightness of the shoe. Fabric loops are stitched on at the back of the collar and the front of the tongue. They make it easy for the foot to slip in when you use the loops to widen the shoe's opening.

The lightly padded tongue and the plush collar provide comfort, preventing chafing and blisters. They also aid in the snug foothold.

Support. Synthetic overlays are used to form the Puma Formstrip at the lateral quarter for support. Meanwhile, EVA is used for the external heel counter. It wraps the hindfoot to prevent excessive movements inside the shoe.
