Puma King Avanti Legends Pack History

In 1924, the Dassler brothers Rudolf and Adolf, known as Adi, founded their own shoe factory right in their mother’s small laundry shop. It was called the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory which produced sports footwear, the first of its kind at the time. By 1936, the brothers found success after convincing Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens to compete while wearing the brand’s spiked shoes.

Despite the boom of the business, the brothers parted from each other and dissolved their partnership in 1948 after one too many arguments. Rudolf moved across town and founded what would become Puma, while Adi went on to rename their company, establishing Adidas.

During its first year of founding, Puma quickly distinguished itself when the first post-war German goal in football was scored by Herbert Burdenski while wearing Puma kicks. Over the years, the brand transformed into a top sports footwear company, producing iconic and celebrated Puma sneakers for both athletic and lifestyle use.

When it comes to low profile shoes, there’s the low-top football sneaker-inspired Puma King Avanti Legends Pack. This model can trace its origins to a 1998 collaboration with Jill Sander, the famous designer. With its sports-inspired look, this sneaker was meant to be a casual variation of a popular football boot, the Puma King. As a result, the shoe offers a distinct mix of fashion and sport, a signature Puma touch.

Taking inspiration from the brand’s past and present legends, this model is a must-have for any football fan.
