Who should buy the PUMA Fusion Nitro Spectra

The Fusion Nitro Spectra from PUMA is going to be great for people who love plush cushions under their feet. This shoe is so comfortable and soft that it's suitable for all-day off-court use.

Those who love a snug one-to-one fit will also find this shoe perfectly made for their feet.

Who should NOT buy the Fusion Nitro Spectra

If you fit any or all of the following descriptions, then the PUMA Fusion Nitro Spectra is not for you:

  • Loves court feel. The midsole is soft and nice, but they say it's been stacked a little too high, putting responsiveness and court feel in jeopardy.
  • Frequently plays outdoors. The Fusion Nitro Spectra has a really nice bite, but the rubber just isn't built for rough surfaces.

Provides a secure fit

Outdoor hoopers who also prefer court feel will find the PUMA Clyde All Pro a more suitable basketball shoe for them.

The shoe's knit upper is reinforced with Puma's proprietary FUZIONFIT compression band, which makes sure that the fit is as secure as possible.

Insufficient court feel

To deliver high levels of cushioning, the midsole is stacked up a bit too high that court feel has already been sacrificed.

It also comes with some sloppy materials, says a reviewer. The knit upper material fails to complement the amazing stopping power of the outsole; it stretches way too far, causing wobbliness.

Disappointing support

While the PUMA Fusion Nitro Spectra has all the basic support features, they are not able to work together to bring a solid lockdown.

This is not for outdoor basketball games. Though it's really good, the traction pattern has very thin grooves. Hoopers do NOT think it can withstand the high pressures of outdoor use.

Dependable impact protection

To ensure comfort and protection from fatigue, the midsole is equipped with NITRO foam, a technology more commonly used in running shoes.

This material feels really soft and provides such a pleasant experience straight out of the box.

Provides a good traction

A durable rubber outsole is covered in a unique map-like pattern to ensure grip in all directions.

It provides really good traction. The traction is definitely a highlight; it works well on both the hardwood and black top.

PUMA Fusion Nitro Spectra offers a plusher experience

When it comes to underfoot comfort, this shoe uses the Nitro cushion found in Puma's running shoes. But players report that this one feels even plusher.

Like many shoes from PUMA Hoops, this shoe fits as expected. Many players are happy that the PUMA Fusion Nitro Spectra looks really good and it can work outside their games.
