Puma Fierce Rope Satin En Pointe History

German brand Puma is not a  new player in the footwear industry. In fact, it can trace its roots from the Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) founded by Rudolf Dassler in 1924 in the small town of Herzogenaurach.

For the next few decades since it was founded, the Puma brand was able to produce remarkable footwear designs for various sports including football, athletics, basketball, among other sports. But it was the entry of global pop star Rihanna into the company placed it as a significant player in the world of fashion and women’s sneakers.

When Rihanna became the brand’s global ambassador for Women’s Training and later on as creative director for Puma Women’s, the company began rolling out modern and stylish designs that have been gaining plenty of female fans because of their unique designs that are sporty and at the same time fashionable. The singer’s influence on Puma Women’s designs with her FENTY line has been evident in the improved sales of the brand.

Not stopping from its latest success in introducing fashionable shoes, Puma launched another campaign this time, with rising star Kylie Jenner in February 2016 as an endorser. This Rihanna and Kylie Jenner collaboration made the brand reach out more to the female market which for some time has not taken off in the sneaker industry. But what made the brand decide to team up with Jenner for the Puma Fierce Collection is her massive social media following.

Puma began reaching out to the millennial market, and there’s no perfect fit to reach them than through the reality star. With more than 60 million Instagram followers, Jenner has loyal fans that would buy anything she endorses including the Puma Fierce.  The Puma Fierce Rope Satin En Pointe was a follow-up design when it was released the first quarter of 2018 and part of the successful Puma Fierce Collection.
