- The upper unit uses very lightweight materials to make sure that the coverage won’t feel as if it’s going to drag the foot down. Synthetic overlays provide structure to the upper while also maintaining a secure and precise fit that’s customizable.
- The midsole unit uses a proprietary technology in order to provide comfort, smoothness, and flexibility when it comes to each step. The platform is tuned to cater to natural runners, and it definitely gives the movement of the foot more freedom. It aims to follow the natural biomechanics of the foot.
- The outsole unit of the Puma Faas 400 uses rubber technologies that are meant to deliver protection from wear, as well as traction over the roads. A bouncy disposition is also felt in this layer, so it allows the foot to be more propelled when taking that next step.
Puma Faas 400 size and fit
The Puma Faas 400 is true to its size. The men and women’s versions come in sizes that follow the regular measurements. Its heel, mid-foot and forefoot areas have medium widths, so it accommodates the runners who have feet that have medium widths. Its semi curved shape allows the natural shape of the foot to adapt well to it.
The EverTrack outsole rubber is a protective layer that’s strong and very efficient. It covers the critical sections of the sole unit where wear and abrasion are most likely to occur. It’s also great when it comes to delivering responsible surface traction.
The EverRide outsole unit is a blown rubber compound that’s placed in the forefoot section. It is much lighter, so it doesn’t add to the overall weight of the Puma Faas 400. It gives additional cushioning to the wearer, so each step and forefoot lift are more comfortable.
The FAAS Foam is a bouncy midsole that’s also very durable and flexible. It doesn’t sacrifice the natural movement of the foot, though it gives responsible cushioning that’s also springy. Each step becomes more propelled because of its plush and responsive nature. The bouncy midsole of this shoe performs like the ones used in the Kayano 25 running shoe.
A rocker shape allows the runner to fully get a smoother and easier touchdown and toe-off phase. The gait cycle is well-supported by this design.
An ultra-lightweight and breathable mesh material makes up the main upper fabric of the Puma Faas 400. It allows air to go in the shoe in order to keep a cool and dry environment for the runner. It’s a durable and secure coverage.
Synthetic leather gives support to the structure of the upper unit. It keeps the material intact and robust-looking. It also allows the mesh to hug the foot more snugly because it adapts to the lacing system.
A Molded Ortholite® insole supports the natural curvature of the underfoot. The heel, arch and forefoot sections are able to get more cushioning with this. It has an anti-microbial capability and a moisture-managing nature, so it keeps the interior environment healthy and odor-free.
