Updates to Puma Carson 2 Ripstop

  • Puma once again adds a new variety to their Carson shoe line, the Carson 2 Ripstop. This running gear uses the same structure and silhouette as its base, which they claim to be a combination of style and performance.
  • The Carson 2 Ripstop is ideal for the road, and it matches best on wearers who have a medium to high arch. The levels of comfort, weight, and grip of the shoe make it adequate for daily, moderate-distance running.
  • The new upper made from ripstop fabric strives to make this footwear lighter than the previous versions. With a more lightweight shoe, runners are able to do faster speeds and longer miles.
  • The shoe achieves an airy weight with its streamlined midsole design. Both this and the outsole are made from EVA foam, a trusted material for ease and protection.

Puma Carson 2 Ripstop size and fit

The Ripstop version of the Puma Carson 2 has a length that runs small; runners are recommended to purchase a half-size larger than their usual wear to achieve an accurate fit. Width profiles are available in D – Medium for the men’s version and B – Medium for the women’s version.

The Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) outsole of the Carson 2 Ripstop has a minimal weight that allows a more laidback ride. The lightweight quality does not sacrifice performance, as the shoe delivers optimum traction and underfoot feel.

The EVA foam is structured to be full-ground contact to make the shoe sturdy and to absorb impact effectively. The material is also resistant to abrasion.

A modernized midsole, also made of EVA, makes the Carson 2 Ripstop a sufficient source of cushioning and comfort. The element also adds to the shock-absorbing property of the shoe, and it is able to produce a powerful and energized toe-off.

There is a Softfoam sock liner that offers enhanced comfort and protection for the underfoot.

The ripstop upper of this running shoe brings a lightweight feel to the foot. This kind of fabric is woven using a unique reinforcement technique that makes it resistant to tears and rips; therefore, this footwear is guaranteed to be durable.

The fabric panel in the midfoot gives a secure fit that enables the runner to go faster without any distractions. It also works to maintain the structural integrity of the shoe.

Like its base shoe, the Carson 2 Ripstop has no internal toe box. This design claims to give the footwear a faster silhouette and to permit a more relaxed run.

Pull tabs are present in the heel and the tongue to aid in easy on and off of the shoe. Both sections are also adequately padded to prevent chafing and skin damage.
