My Rating

The Puma Blaze Cage Glove is available in men’s sizes that range from US 4.5 to 11.5 in D (M) Medium or Standard width. It fits true to size. The overall silhouette was based on the running-inspired Blaze of Glory shoes. It has a low-cut profile with a distinctive lace closure system, which is secured by eyestays that extend as leather quarter panel reinforcements. The overall hold and support are excellent without sacrificing the shoe's flexibility.

This low-top sneaker from Puma boasts a running-inspired shoe aesthetic with design details inspired by drivers’ leather gloves. Premium leather dresses not just the upper but also the cage panel for a luxe appeal. Although well-structured with plenty of upper reinforcements, the shoe maintains a minimal look with a tonal upper that sits atop a white Trinomic sole. A versatile pair to wear from day to night, the Puma Blaze Cage Glove suits well with jeans, shorts, or any set of casual outfit.

The sophisticated yet sporty upper in a luxe leather material makes the Puma Blaze Cage Glove stand out from the crowd. The quarter panel reinforcement or the “cage” calls for attention as it highlights the shoe’s Blaze of Glory heritage. This Puma shoe also features the edgy signature Trinomic sole construction and a suede heel gore for added support.

The Puma Blaze Cage Glove is one of Puma’s most recent shoe models. Its roots lead back to a classic Puma shoe popular during the ‘90s, the Puma Blaze of Glory or otherwise known as the B.O.G. Although a top favorite among other famous Puma silhouettes, the Puma B.O.G. stood out even without the brand's signature Formstrip brandings on the sides.

The original Puma Blaze of Glory shoe featured a mesh upper with sufficient overlays for the much-needed support, minimal brandings for a clean look, and a unique lacing system that nonetheless allowed a secure yet adjustable fit. It made an official comeback in 2007, which paved the way for countless new Blaze of Glory variations, material and design upgrades, and collaborations. One of those new models that the iconic B.O.G. resulted to is the Puma Blaze Cage Glove.

The Puma Blaze Cage Glove released in two colorways named as the “Black and Whisper White” and the “Marshmallow and Whisper White.”

  • Unlike most Puma shoes, the Puma Blaze Cage Glove lacks the brand’s signature Formstrips on the side panels.
  • Puma branding is very minimal and can only be seen on the tongue and heel.
  • The collar and tongue are both cushioned for enhanced in-shoe comfort.
  • Also featured are rounded laces with tonal aglets.
