Fit & Sizing

Part of the Puma Trailblazer Collection is a reinterpretation of the classic Basket silhouette from the Formstrip brand called the Puma Basket Trailblazer sneakers.

The Basket Trailblazer exclusively runs in women's sizing that range from US 5.5 to 11 in B – Medium (Standard) width. Based on the Puma Basket, it features a low-top construction and lace closure for a comfortable and non-restrictive fit. On the tongue is a central loop tab that helps keep it from sliding to the sides. The shoe also features a slip-on sock collar that gives a snug and secure fit on foot.

Puma Basket Trailblazer Style

Part of Puma’s extensive collection of Puma Basket sneakers is a modern reinterpretation fit for street style dubbed as the Puma Basket Trailblazer sneakers. Based on a classic Basket DNA, the Trailblazer version replaced the leather upper of the original with a retro-looking neoprene material that dons colorful metallic details concentrated at the heel.

Two colorways are available, including the Puma Black – Fuschia Purple and the Puma White – Fuschia Purple.

Notable Features

Based on the legendary Puma Basket shoes, the Puma Basket Trailblazer follows the Basket’s original tooling and sporty aesthetic. But with the modern upgrades done, it isn’t like any typical Basket iterations that are out there.

While the Basket Classic flaunts supple leather as the primary material, the Trailblazer rendition opts for a foot-hugging, flexible, and snug-fitting neoprene. Matching this is a full lace closure with slip-on sock collar. For added flair, iridescent accents are displayed on the heel, tongue, and Formstrip brandings.

Puma Basket Trailblazer History

For the Puma Trailblazer Collection, German footwear brand Puma looked into its 1971 archives and made a contemporary Trailblazer rendition of the legendary basketball-turned-lifestyle model Puma Basket low-top sneakers.

As with other famed Puma silhouettes in the said collection, including the Puma Muse, Puma Thunder, Puma Mode XT, Puma Adela, and Puma Sirena among others, the Trailblazer version of the Puma Basket exudes a classic appeal with modern design touches.

The Puma Basket Trailblazer features a low-top, lace-up construction with a flexible neoprene upper, slip-on sock collar, and metallic details. It released in two colorways (Puma Black – Fuschia Purple and Puma White – Fuschia Purple) initially for $80 a pair.

Additional Info

  • The Puma Basket Trailblazer also sports a rubber outsole for grip and traction.
