It's not worth the money, unfortunately.
I heartily recommend these for all hiking activities: day hikes, rocky scrambles or long distance backpacking trips.
These hiking shoes will deliver everything you want and need while on a small day hike or a 2,000-mile thru hike.
Low-cut hiking boots that are grippy in all conditions.
- The Oboz Traverse Low has features that allow the user to tackle different desert and mountain trails. It comes with a sturdy upper which is abrasion resistant and breathable. Also, the reinforcements laid out on the shoe’s upper enhances its durability.
- It employs a dual-density EVA midsole which works with the brand’s very own O Fit Insole to provide comfort and cushioning. The Granite Peak outsole renders surface traction. The said component’s name and form were inspired by the highest natural point in Montana USA.
The Oboz Traverse Low is a men’s day hiking shoe. It is offered in regular sizes and standard width. Also, it runs true to size. The lace-up closure allows fit customization.
According to the brand, it has a roomy toe box (D) and a slightly narrow heel area (C). It fits a high volume foot which includes having a high arch or instep, or sometimes both. Oboz also recommends this shoe to those who have bunions.
The Granite Peak outsole is what makes the Traverse Low bite into most types of terrain. Its 4 mm lugs are strategically placed to adapt to ground conditions. The aggressive boots on both sides of the sole yield stability on rocky trails. Additionally, the clump of square studs at the heel guides the foot to a smooth transition.
This Oboz hiker features a dual-density EVA midsole that grants cushioning without the added bulk. A nylon shank, located between the heel and the forefoot, yields support. Also, this shoe wears a TPU chassis underfoot for added protection and to prevent unwanted twisting of the foot.
It features the brand-owned O Fit Insole, a material made of different EVA densities. Cradling the foot is a medium-density foam with a moisture-wicking top layer. A low-density pod is attached to the forefoot for extra cushioning. On the other hand, high-density EVA is used in the arch area and heel cup to enhance support and stability.
The durable upper of the Traverse low is a mix of abrasion-resistant textile, synthetic leather and welded seamless synthetic overlays. The said combination of materials enables the shoe to maintain its shape and deliver breathability.
The reinforcement along the base of the shoe renders protection. An extra layer of material is added to the toe area to shield against accidental knocks. A molded heel counter provides rearfoot stability by locking the foot in place.
For an easy on and off, a finger loop is attached at the back of the shoe. Additionally, the low-cut hiker features metal hardware in its lacing system to allow quick adjustment.
