Use - The Nike Zoom Pole Vault II is a perfect pair of track and field shoe for both training and competition. Featuring a design specially engineered for pole vault, the platform utilizes a lightweight cushioning.
Spike Type - The Zoom Pole Vault II features 5 spike receptacles per shoe. These are meant to accommodate its removable ⅜- inch Christmas tree spikes. Built for traction and efficiency, these tiered spikes compress on the track surface upon contact, allowing energy return to the athlete.
Spike Plate - A Pebax® plate runs full-length, providing traction and durability to the Zoom Pole Vault II. It maximizes its rigidity-to-weight ratio while exhibiting flexibility.
- Comfort and support—two aspects that are magnified by the construction of the Nike Zoom Pole Vault II. Featuring a new synthetic and mesh upper, the shoe is meant to deliver a breathable and snug fit around the foot.
- Maintaining the sharkskin piece at the bottom of the shoe’s heel allowed it to enhance its multi-surface grip and traction. Meanwhile, its Phylon midsole gives it a durable and resilient cushioning.
Same as the Zoom Rival M 9, the synthetic and mesh upper of the Nike Zoom Pole Vault II gives a secure, breathable wrap around the foot. Its midfoot Velcro strap permits snug lockdown. Lastly, its heel counter secures the rearfoot area, preventing heel slippage.
The Zoom Pole Vault II is available in unisex sizing, following men’s sizing measurement. Female users are advised to go 1.5 sizes down to secure accurate fit and size.
Covering the full-length of the Zoom Pole Vault II is its Pebax® plate. It is composed of a stiff yet flexible polymer plate—delivering durability without inhibiting the athlete’s foot movement. It is also engineered for direct power transfer, maximizing propulsion.
Featured in other Nike track and field shoes, sharkskin is situated at the platform’s heel bottom. It consists of a thermoplastic grid-like material devised to grip on varied surfaces.
Set as Nike's standard full-length midsole, Phylon gives a lightweight, resilient cushioning to the Zoom Pole Vault II. It consists of compressed EVA foam pellets, creating a durable midsole foam.
Since breathability is one of the key factors when choosing a pair of shoes, the Nike Zoom Pole Vault II is made up of synthetic and mesh upper. Not only do these supply breathability for a healthy foot environment, but they also deliver a secure lockdown over the footbed.
A lightweight stretch sleeve is equipped to its interior to enhance its fit and comfort.
Two components of the shoe ensure its security. These are the midfoot Velcro strap that keeps its snug fit, and the heel counter which wraps the rearfoot. This rearfoot component keeps the heel stable, preventing any slippage from occurring.
Further enhancing flexibility while utilizing minimal weight, it features slip lasting. This lasting method involves constructing the upper in a bootie-like shape before sticking it to the midsole.
