My Rating

Initially a men’s basketball sneaker, the Oregon-based company recreated their Nike Vandal High’s to conveniently tickle the fancy of the ladies. The now Nike Vandal High LX women’s shoe can be copped in sizes starting from 5 to 12, including half sizes.

Though the sneaker steals the classic comfort of the Air-sole cushioning underneath, it compensates with a generous lace system of the enclosure. Aside from the traditional way of snugging, the sneaker also includes a strap at the top of the collar for a better fit. The leather material was also made softer for a plush ride.

Being a woman’s sneaker signifies that these Nike Vandals come in a variety of vogue colorways to appeal not only the ladies but also the bystanders. Making the Nike Vandals into a high top suggests more room for artsy-fartsy accents which the sportswear giant fruitfully obliged.

On the very first release of the sneaker in 2018, the world witnessed a semi-monochromatic mix of vibrant colors along with dark outlines. The Nike Vandal High LX women’s shoe came in white with black accents on the strap and quarter panels. Subsequent models followed employing the same lady-like concept either in pink or in vivid yellow tones.

High top Nike sneakers like these are a bit of sporty-looking, thanks to its basketball roots, but at the same time can radiate a stylish appeal especially when partnered with posh clothes like midi dresses or sundresses. Remember to match it accordingly with the shoe’s colorway of choice to highlight either the apparel or the sneaker itself.

In the platoon of colorways, the Nike Vandal High LX had been featured upon, there is somewhat a common denominator for every iteration. Most of the shoes contain outlined overlays with visible double stitching along the lines. Some of them would utilize different materials like scaled leathers or hairy textiles.

Since the introduction of Michael Jordan in the Nike family, everything seemed to be in an uphill climb towards success. Though Jordan eventually obtained a separate division for all his sneakers, his prominence scattered throughout all products that have a Swoosh on it.

One of these products is the Nike Vandal High, an underdog in the Nike basketball catalog in the 80s but slowly crept its way to stardom in the more recent years. To give homage to its creation, Nike had several occurrences on which it was celebrated via a special edition or whatnot. Some of the versions were specially made for women like the Nike Vandal 2k and the Nike Vandal High LX. The LX or Lux rendition covers the sneaker in a premium leather upgrade with intricate details all over the upper.

  • Underfoot cushioning is provided by the rubber cupsole with stitches on the side for added durability.
  • Swoosh logos are found on the side panels and at the tab located on the strap.
  • Several versions include metal eyelets for fast snugging.
