Really nice features at the $65 price point. The comfort is very good given that it is a fairly soft natural leather material once it is broken in.
The Genio 2 is a great improvement over the already decent Genio 1. This boot is made from real leather and is a much better quality than low-end synthetic boots at the same price. It is the best boot in its price point.
The shoe is extremely comfortable touch and amazing fit for my foot. If you are looking to purchase a pair of Nike Tiempo but not willing to spend much, I definitely recommend this.
Features of the Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground
- The Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground features a natural leather upper that is soft enough to provide fantastic touch on the ball. Over time, it molds to the shape of the foot. This is the same material seen in Nike classic cleats such as the Nike Premier II Firm Ground.
- This football boot also has a die-cut EVA sock liner that offers comfort and customized fit. The heel area of this shoe is lined with foam to help cushion the foot and keep it locked in place while running and dribbling.
- The stud pattern of this affordable football boot is designed to provide excellent traction on firm, natural grass surfaces. Its lightweight sole plate is made of TPU plastic that provides durable support.
Fit and sizing
The Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground is available in men’s version only with size ranging from 6 to 16. This football boot can fit players with moderate to wide feet. Its length is true to size.
The traditional sole plate of the Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground is made of durable TPU plastic. It is lightweight and provides optimum support while on the pitch.
The stud pattern is the same as the rest of the football boots in the 6th Nike Tiempo line. It has a combination of conical and bladed studs that have a small profile but are fairly long in length. Players get the freedom to twist and turn without getting stuck on firm grounds because of the rounded studs in the forefoot.
The upper of the Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather FG is made of full-grain leather. It is soft enough to provide superior touch on the ball. Thus, providing the player with precise passing, striking, and dribbling experience.
Just like its top-end counterparts, the Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground also has the internal foam support cage. It reinforces the supple leather material and offers enhanced responsiveness to the football boot.
This football boot also has a thin tongue under the central lacing system. Unlike the top-end Nike Tiempo models, the tongue of the Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather FG is attached at the bottom and not on either side. Nevertheless, the tongue and the padded collar provide excellent comfort without putting too much weight on the shoe.
The insole of this football boot is made of high-density EVA. This material offers excellent cushioning and stud pressure relief when running.
- The Nike Tiempo Genio II Leather Firm Ground is the lightest football boot in the series, weighing only 7.55 ounces, a few ounces heavier than the Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 Elite Firm Ground.
