The Nike Sock Dart Breather is crafted from a breathable textile upper that comes in various colors. It features a lace less silhouette with an adjustable molded mid foot strap to keep feet snug and in place. Branding can be seen on the tongue, sides, and heel. The shoe also features a toebox guard for added stability and protection.

The insole is equipped with lightweight foam while the midsole features Phylon foam for extra cushioning. Lastly, the outsole is made of rubber for durability.

Nike Sock Dart Breathe History

Following in the footsteps of the Nike Presto, Nike Sock Dart was released in 2004. The shoe is one of the first Nike designs to have a knit attribute for its uppers. The Nike Sock Dart range started when Hiroshi Fujiwara, an acclaimed designer, spotted a sample pair and commissioned the first release to be under the HTM label in 2004. With the shoe’s comfort and minimalist design it became an instant hit amongst enthusiasts.

Fast-forward to 2014, Nike decided to have a retro release along with a collaborative stint with fragment design that came in three colorways. Since then we have seen the Nike Sock Dart in an assemblage of different colors and collections.

In December 2015, Nike introduced an updated material to the range in the form of Tech Fleece. It is specifically designed to help increase warmth during winter and cold weather. Then, of course, Nike had to design a shoe that would specifically increase breathability for the warmer season hence the Nike Sock Dart Breathe was introduced just in time for summer 2017. It has since been interpreted in various fun colors perfect for the weather.
