Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Slip-On Canvas History
For skateboarders, no recent kicks released by the Portland, Oregon-based shoe manufacturer would be more valuable than the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski.
Janoski is an American professional skateboarder known for his "switch-stance" skills and casual style. His signature Nike SB shoe model, the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski, was based on his own design.
The chukka-style shoe is an original design for the Nike SB line specifically made for the professional skateboarder in 2009. The success of the Stefan Janoski line led to numerous models of the Nike SB brand experimenting with various materials and colors to fit the needs of the street style and casual outfits of today’s skaters.
One of the most popular shoes released by the SB line, the solid colorways and shape are a staple among the skateboarding community giving earlier established skate shoe brands a shake that they have to improve on their design or be overshadowed by this popular Nike model. The most popular color combinations for this particular shoe are the black and mint version which is popular for both casual and street-style wear.
Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Slip-On, meanwhile, was launched only in 2016 to cater to the needs of sneaker fans for a slip-on shoe of the popular Stefan Janoski line. While other skateboarding shoe brands have very popular slip-on, it was only during the past two years that the Nike SB sub-brand introduced an easy to don footwear. The following year after the success of the Janoski slip-on release, Nike SB released the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Slip-On Premium using finer materials and additional colorways in 2017.
