Nike SB Bruin Hyperfeel Canvas History

In 1972, Nike gave birth to the silhouette that paved the way for the rise of the popularity of Nike Basketball. The Bruin debuted as a basketball footwear featuring a simple design with fat-belly cobalt red Swoosh. It also displays a herringbone-pattern autoclaved rubber outsole for superb traction. The Bruin was named after the successful NCAA team, the UCLA Bruins.

The Nike Bruin was first turned famous as it was seen worn by Michael J. Fox in the classic “Back to the Future” movie.  It features a very simple silhouette with leather upper, integrated Zoon Air unit and autoclaves outsole. The Nike Swoosh was in cobalt red which became a very noteworthy feature for many buyers.

Recently, certain variations of the Bruin were released in the market. Nikelab re-launched the Bruin as the Bruin Leather, and the Skateboarding Project had its version too. The SB Bruin became one of the simplest models in the SB line. The Nike SB Bruin Hyperfeel was released in 2016 carrying the exact profile of the original classic Bruin.
