Updates to Nike LunarConverge

  • The Nike LunarConverge uses the dual-density Lunarlon foam. This full-length unit cushions the foot and protects it from the impact forces. Its denser composition allows it to last long. A molded sock-liner is also provided for additional cushioning experience.
  • The shoe uses an open-hole mesh upper with a no-sew overlays for a seamless surface and a silken feel against the skin. The padded collar and the tongue at its entrance with the breathable fabric lining contribute to the easy-to-slip-on construction
  • Also, the strategically placed rubber and the pods in the outsole are responsible for the lasting durability plus traction.

Nike LunarConverge size and fit

The Nike Lunar Converge is available in the medium width for both men and women. Standard measurements were used in the making of this running shoe. It accommodates the regular expectations of runners when it comes to sizing.

Outsole

A rubber compound is placed in the heel and forefoot sections of the outsole. It protects the high-wear areas from getting damaged, while also providing reliable traction for better surface-control.

Hot-knife cuts are patterned on the external platform. These small grooves make the shoe more adherent to the natural motion of the foot as it goes through the gait cycle.

Midsole

The dual-density Lunarlon midsole is both flexible and comfortable. The dense nature of this material makes it more resistant to sagging. Lunarlon is 30 percent lighter than the compounds like phylon, EVA and polyurethane.

A removable foam insole is also offered for additional cushioning and comfort. It has curved sections, which offer some cushioning to the arch and other typically unsupported sections of the underfoot.

Upper

The open-hole mesh upper and synthetic materials allow ventilation inside the shoe. This maintains a cool and dry environment for the foot.

The no-sew coverage, along with the breathable fabric lining, allows the runner to experience enhanced breathability and a seam-free feel during the run.

The lace-up closure results in a snug fit. Nike LunarConverge also includes a padded tongue and collar, which keep the foot in place.
